Crap, you're right. Sorry. I used the XJ wiring and the MJ sockets. I had to replace the non weather tight connectors with weather safe ones. I got mine from painless. I also made new short harnesses from the tails to the XJ harness. I tried to use the XJ sockets. I had mod the crap out of the light to get them in. It was easier to extend the wiring.

I just extended the XJ wiring and put the XJ sockets in the MJ tails.

A lug nut with a couple washers under it can be used to seat the stud. No need to pull the uni-bearing. More trouble that it is worth really.

Diidn't most ZJs come with a D35 and LSD? I know my 94 Donor had a LSD in the D35. I tossed it though as I refuse to put any money into a D35.

Have you tried to crank it without the belt on it? I helped a kid a few weeks ago with a Honda that would not start. It turned out to be a bad idler pulley. I thought it was seized. Then I noticed the crank was turning but the alt wasn't. Took the belt off and it lit right off. Might be worth a shot.
