  1. Gotta love Google Images
  2. I noticed those on many of the XJs at the JY. I was going to pull a set but didn't have a drill to get the rivets out, they were metal. Let us know if they make any difference.
  3. I think I have a couple extra wing bolts, the hold down bracket, rubber strap and the hook for the jack handle (second picture). Let me look tomorrow and I'll get back to you. Mike
  4. I've had: Irish Setter, when I was a kid, Golden Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog mix from the Santa Cruz SPCA Black Lab mix from the Santa Clara SPCA Two Chocolate Labs, AKC registered Chow mix found on the side of the freeway (still with us), and a Lab/Pit mix from the guys down the street for a case of beer (still with us) They were all great dogs and great companions, it's all in how you treat them and train them, I strongly recommend taking your dog to obedience training, it really builds a bond and more importantly trains the owner. The Lab/Pit might be my favorite, she's a real sweetheart, not a mean bone in her body. Hey, that's not an MJ. ;)
  5. Welcome Jess, I'm another one of the NorCal members. There's an '86 MJ at the Pick-N-Pull in Fairfield if that's not too far for you. It's 2WD, 2.5L, 5 speed, bench, red interior, solid rear window.
  6. Great, that's the one that's on back order with no ETA. Thanks for the confirmation SW2.
  7. Thanks ren, I was wondering if that was the case, however, there was a "collar" of what seemed to be boot remnants that was very tight around the shifter below the wide portion. In any case I'll leave it on top when I get the new one.
  8. How do you get the inner boot past the large end at the bottom of the shifter? My old one seemed to be past the large end. If I remove the shifter from the transmission it's still pressed into the fitting. Thanks for looking up the part number SW2. Image Not Found
  9. What?! You don't think we should rename the site Comancheria (Home territory of the Comanche from early 1700's to mid 1800's)? Me neither, I voted: No, I like our forum the way it is.
  10. Come on guys, this is the Tech forum not the Pub, I'm sure comanche87 wants a real answer.
  11. Does anyone know of any Eliminator MJs whose interior was not gray? All that I've seen are gray.
  12. Some people feel the negative connotation of yellow is enough to keep it off their vehicles. :dunno: What is the negative connotation of yellow? Does it make people think of bees? Yellow is taken to imply cowardly. See #9 here: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/yellow?qsrc=2888 Wait a second... Not yellow, but yeller.. yeller is to imply cowardice.. ie; You'some yeller anit ya boy,, or I'some anit no yeller sumbeach... Just because it’s mispronounced doesn’t make it so. :rotfl2:

  15. Hey ren, got any pictures of your winch/mount?
  16. You think we would get a discount if we flash our Comanche Club business cards? :rotf:
  17. You put the closed system into your '91? I've only heard of people switching from the closed (RENIX) to the open system (HO).
  18. Actually it was mine, made in the wrong size.
  19. Remove the side panel, depress the tabs (be careful, they might be brittle) and pull them out from behind.
  20. It is very good but I don't think it's worth the price. Have you seen the Three Sheets episode where Zane tried it?
  21. This should help viewtopic.php?f=6&t=11077
  22. I've had really good results using Oil-Eater (available at Costco) on my carpets. One of my MJs has tan carpet. When I bought it I pulled it out because it was the nastiest carpet I've seen and was going to replace it. My wife started cleaning it with Oil-Eater and now it looks almost new.
