  1. Check out this site http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary/ , they have all the paint chips. Make sure to select American Motors for your '87.
  2. Rub them lucky rabbit feet!!
  3. Rub them lucky rabbit feet!!
  4. Does the stock sport bar block the cargo light? Were these options mutually exclusive? I would guess the sport bar light switch would replace the cargo light switch if you have fog lights.
  5. Sorry to hear that Brent. I'm sure you'll land on your feet. I really appreciated all the effort you put into helping all of us. At least you have all those rabbit feet around you, GOOD LUCK!!!
  6. Thanks, that's what I though and I installed them without those brackets.

Thanks Pete!! I like this much better than the previous "new" setup. This looks like the old format but updated. The avatars on the left make the page flow much better.
  8. Here are some more pictures of how they were attached. These "unknowns" were between the bumper/tow bracket and frame, then the L-brackets were on the other side of the frame. What's ARB? Thanks. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found
  9. I just picked up a set of tow hook brackets form an XJ at the pick-n-pull. What are the brackets between the L-brackets and the tow hook brackets in the picture? Are these supposed to be there? I don't think so, but all my manuals are at work and I can't check. Image Not Found

Pete, can we at least get the Avatars back on the left side?
  12. What??!! It's $2.89-2.99 here, only 95 miles up the road.
  13. Wade, if I make it to the pick-n-pull on Saturday I'll pick one up for you if they have one. I'm sure I saw several round ones but not sure of the number of ports. Mike
  14. That's why I have the stock cassette stereos in my three MJs. Plus no one will break into it for a cassette player. Here are some wiring diagrams. They're from the '88 MJ electrical manual, maybe they're the same for an '86. I can e-mail the actual PDFs to you, they're much clearer (PDF to JPG not too good), just PM and address.
  15. What, and unlicensed plumber!!? :chillin:
  16. This thread might help, some pics and the last post by JeepcoMJ has some measurements. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... argo+light
  17. Welcome, if you have a '90, it doesn't have an HO unless someone replaced it, then it's not stock.
  18. That is correct, and if you would like one I have a few: http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... hp?t=12302 and this is what it does, compliments of Hornbrod: "just turn the key off, pull the key, then shut off the headlights. They stay on about 30 seconds, then click off. If you don't want the delay feature, shut off the headlights first, then the ignition." what year model was thevdelay feature avail i may be interested for my 89 According to Hornbrod all MJs except maybe '86 had them. All three of mine ('88,'89,'90) have the connector. It's not working in my '90, I need to check the voltages at the connectors and figure out what's wrong, but in my '88 and '89 it was plug and play.

  20. Did you have to to pull the radiator, to get the puller in there?
  21. Thanks Don. That was a big help, it helped me find it in my electrical manual, it's the C178 connector. Now I have something else to look for at the junk yard. :clapping: :wrench: manche, on all mine it's a buzzer not a dinger.
  22. Hey Don, Do you have a picture of where this sentinel delay box is located? Anyone know if '91-'95 ones fit in '88-'90 (or if they came with them)?
  23. My deepest condolences. We lost one of ours back in late June, she was a 14 1/2 year old chocolate lab, Like you we still have two other clowns to cheer us up. Here's when she was 1 1/2.
  24. I actually replaced the black ones with blue ones in all three of my trucks, I got tired of leaving my lights on. On the other hand I did disconnect the wiring to the seatbelt so that doesn't buzz. :D
