  1. I just bought a pair from them in early February for $26.95 each. :hmm: Now that's inflation.
  2. This is how I store mine From the owner's manual
  3. There are three metal plates per flare with 3 studs each. When I removed mine several did break so I ground their heads off and popped them out and then brazed new bolts through the holes. Others have just used bolts/washers/nuts without the plates.
  4. In my '89 it's under the coolant bottle (I added the wire wrap): This is the end that plugs into the light (ground is from body attachment): This is the light I have, I think it was available on both MJs and XJs: Here's a diagram from the Electrical manual:
  5. Don't wait, hose it down. Instant gratification is GREAT. I also have a flooding problem in the passenger's side.
  6. I just bought two bags of 24 each off eBay (not having to drive around to all the parts stores was worth it) and was just installing them this evening.
  7. My '89 Pioneer has a plug that I used. I still need to look for it in my '88 and '90, but I'm sure it's there.
  8. I thought you're starting your own?

    Buffing

Anyone tried the Mother's Powerball for paint? Just saw Foose using it in a commercial.
  10. jerk. :P bring the digi-cam Hey, is that any way to treat a fellow MJer? ;) I don't hold it against you that you have an actual area to work on your MJ, unlike some of us. I'll defiantly post pics once I make it up there.
  11. Short vacation for me, it's only 66.5 miles away. :D
  12. I bought the tube that goes in the water pump from them about 5 years ago. Got it in a couple of days for $10 including shipping. I'm thinking of going up and just "seeing what I need" one of these days.
  13. Nice, with the original blue and gold plates to boot.
  14. That's more than all three of my MJs are worth (to others anyway).
  15. Don't twist the tool to lift off the molding, just rotate it (same plane as the glass) so the the clip "spreads" a little and unhooks from the molding.
  16. They do make a trim removal tool, http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/prod ... val%2Ctool I've used a 5-in-1 paint tool to get mine off. You have to feel for the clips then push them towards the inside of the window and pop off the trim.
  17. 5K for a SPORTRUCK? :dunce:
  18. Different between manual and automatic and 4 or 6 cyl.
  19. Image Not Found Ohhhh sooo Chromey ;)
  20. Remove them by lifting them up so they bend at the hinge at the base and pull the little tab at the base to lock them in that position, you might need a screw driver to move the tab. Then pull straight off. Without the wiper arms on the vehicle see if the motor turns the wiper mechanism. If it does, turn off the wipers so they home to the correct position then reinstall the wiper arms. If the motor doesn't turn the mechanism check for any obstructions or any loose/damaged connections in the mechanism.
  21. The '90 FSM says to tighten bolts using the tightening sequence to: 22 ft. lbs. then 45 ft. lbs. then recheck at 45 ft. lbs. then to 110 ft. lbs. except #11 to 100 ft. lbs. (bolt #11 should be coated with Locktite 592) The tightening sequence is as you're looking from the front: #1 -middle bolt on left #2 –middle bolt on right #3 -bolt in font of #2 #4 -bolt in front of #1 #5 -bolt behind #1 #6 -bolt behind #2 #7 -bolt in front of #3 #8 -bolt in front of #4 #9 -bolt behind #5 #10 -bolt behind #6 #11 - bolt in front of #7 #12 - bolt in front of #8 #13 -bolt behind #9 #14 -bolt behind #10 You’re basically making a spiral from the center. It specifically says do not apply sealing compound and to reuse head bolts only once. I'd get new ones, I've broken them upon reinstall and had to pull the head back off to get the suckers out. Don't know about the retainers.
  22. Full nuke. 8) If you come out with a recipe book this summer I better get credit. :laughin: And I put it on a napkin on a plate. When you nuke bread it tends to throw off moisture and that can lead to a soggy bread. I'm disappointed. I was sure it was 15 seconds with a MAP gas torch, mmmm toasty.
  23. Do you guys want a copy of the RENIX manual? It shows where all the sensors are located and how to test them and adjust the TPS. Just pm with an e-mail address and state RENIX in the message. It's only a 1.5Mb file. Mike
  24. Does anyone know what year(s) XJ Wagoners (by consensus) had these?
