  1. There is a Chime Module. The chime module calls attention to several conditions: 1) The driver's seatbelt is not buckled 2) The key is in the ignition and the Driver's door is open 3) The vehicle lights are on after the ignition switch is off 1 & 2 above happen if you have the black module, all three happen if you have the blue module. These modules are located on the left side of the fuse box (blue one in picture), they can be a pain to remove. I have a couple of blue ones if you need one.
  2. Doesn't the link work for you? It should open the RENIX manual in PDF, then just save a copy to your local drive.
  3. You have to adjust it. What year MJ do you have? If It's '90 or older and a 4.0 the adjustment can be found here: http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavist ... manual.pdf the settings are different for Auto and Manual trans.
  4. Nah don't need a Swiss Army knife,,, a lighter works best.. I don't smoke, that's when the wedding ring really comes in handy.

    Should I?

Still sounds steep. What engine does it have? I bought my last MJ, an '88 4.0 4x4 no rust for $1200 (it does have the BA-10 however).
  6. OK, three people have contacted me. The order is: 1-bobweiser 2-smithe1811 3-JeepcoMJ I'll get shipping quotes to all of you and the right of first refusal is the order above. Please let me know within a couple of days if you want them so I may notify the next in line. Thanks. I forgot to mention there is some oxidation on these and a little rust on the underside from the bed that will probably buff right out.
  7. I thought I remembered you saying that in another post.
  8. I have a set of aluminum diamond plate bed rail caps and tailgate cap for a short bed. If anyone wants to pay shipping from 94534 they’re yours!! There are some plastic shims on the inside rear of the rail to make them fit properly, they also have 2 holes through the top surface where a tool box was attached. I can send more detailed pictures to anyone interested. Image Not Found
  9. It looks like you have everything except for the wing nut that holds down the clip in your last picture and the clip that attaches to the metal piece protruding from the back panel that the handle snaps into. Team Cherokee has this handle clip: http://www.teamgrandwagoneer.com/cgi-bi ... k&catid=95 they also show a wing nut but it looks different than mine but it might work.
  10. You can also run it through this: http://jeep.avtograd.ru/VIN/vin_en.asp
  11. My '90 Sportruck with a 4.0L came stock with P195/75/15 tires , I bought it new so I'm certain of this. It's even on the window sticker. However, this was on a 2WD.
  12. If you have a real long screwdriver put the tip up anainst various parts of the engine and the handle up to your ear, usually you will be able to trace odd noises.
  13. Is it a Bosch or a Swingline? :rotf:
  14. If you don't want the tire carrier put it in the Classifieds. I remember someone looking for one.
  15. Maybe a helpful hint. To remove the locking ring I used a brass rod (don't want sparks) as a punch and tapped it with a hammer.
  16. Hey mjtjnj, I can send you a PDF of the '87 MJ electrical manual if you want. Just pm an e-mail address. If anyone else wants one just send an address.

  20. By the way, this is stock from the dealer when they replaced my cracked exhaust manifold in ~'93 (under warranty )
  21. Do you have a picture of the 4 panel installed in your truck? Is it a CRL? Did the gasket fit back in easily?
  22. In either 89 or 90 headrests started coming with the bench seats, probably mandated for safety. My '90 Sportruck had headrests, my '88 Pioneer did not have headrests. My '89 Pioneer had buckets so I don't now about that year.
  23. Here's what one of mine looks like.
  24. The info here may help. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... highlight=
  25. This is from the '87 MJ Electrical Manual: They are the Power Latch Relay, Fuel Pump Relay and the A/C Clutch Relay from front to back.
