  1. What?!! My wife and I have five vehicles and all but one are manual. She bought a new car back in '04 and had to special order the manual transmission.
  2. Did you guys catch The Colbert Report? Stephen was sucking down the Bud Limes while espousing their virtues.
  3. Just to be clear, it was changed for the '91 model year (which did start production in '90).
  4. Have you checked the EGR valve? http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopi ... highlight=
  5. Nope, that's me up there. Looking back at it I think it was a very stupid thing to do.
  6. Couldn't get my trucks up here, so it's just me with my CC stuff. This is at the top of Half Dome in Yosemite about 4800 feet above the valley floor. That's a long ways down. Image Not Found
  7. It's strange, I see me when using my home computer but not my work computer???
  8. I have a stock mounting plate you may have. Just pm your address and I'll send it. Mike
  9. Isn't it a form of blasphemy to use Honda parts on a Jeep? I think so, however, JustEveryoneElsesParts so Honda would qualify. ;)
  10. PM BLHTAZ he could probably hook you up if you want new ones. You can also try http://www.chryslerpartsdirect.com/ go to the collision catalog then Fender, Exterior trim, Wheel flare, Retainer they're ~$15 each, then you'll need the nuts also (I assume). Not sure if they really have them, they list parts that aren't available sometimes. The fronts are the same as Cherokees so you can try a junk yard.
  11. Is this a Darwin Award entry?
  12. Have you decided on a color yet?
  13. In California, official observance started in 2005. I had never heard of it before either. Thanks.
  14. Hey SW2 do you know you're #37 in the number of posts out of all 1800 members? Not bad for 6 months.
  15. Here's a snapshot of where some are. http://www.frappr.com/comanche/map. Add yourself if you haven't already done so.
  16. If you're talking about the foam seal, it can be replaced; it's available at any hardware store in the window insulation isle. Its purpose is to keep water out, not hold the panel in place. If the push-in fasteners aren't holding you might find them at an auto supply store.
  17. They are held in by four press-in fasteners. I used a plastic putty knife to loosen the perimeter (should have a foam strip) and then pry up from the slot in the bottom.
  18. I can send you the '88 Electrical manual if you want. It's an 8Mb pdf. PM an e-mail address if interested. Mike
  19. I work in Benicia!! However, four wouldn't fit my avatar.
  20. The JEEP letters are held on by two pins each (one with a sheet metal nut) on 86-90 models and adhesive on 91 & 92 models.
  21. For EFI engines, from the 1987-90 Parts Catalog Model.....Engine.......Tank............Sender PN MJ..........2.5L..........16 (1988).....83504483 MJ..........4.0L..........16 (1988).....83504486 MJ..........2.5L..........18&23.5.......83504481 MJ..........4.0L..........18&23.5.......83504485 XJ..........2.5L..........13.5.............83504480 XJ..........4.0L..........13.5.............83504488 XJ..........2.5L..........20.2.............83504484 XJ..........4.0L..........20.2.............83504487 When I ran these through http://www.chryslerpartsdirect.com/ some came up as unknown but the ones that did come up specified either MJ or XJ. I don't know if this will help, but it's added information.
  22. I tried Herculiner on the interior of a shell; I had problems getting a homogeneous mixture in the can (large chunks that wouldn't dissolve). It also balled up during application, but it was 104° when I was doing it :dunce: . The other problem I had was the foam roller they provided disintegrated during use. So I decided to get the truck box professionally done.
  23. ??? The stripes ARE correct in the original picture. Read the thread Don. :thwak:
