  1. We only wheelin in legal places. we never go around any barricades or past any signs. we were on an trail that oppen up to a clearing that happens to have a housign area right up against it.
  2. looks like i need a new harmonic blancer now, hopefully it jucst backed to bolt out some and is startign to come off, but I may have to buy a new one... I may need a tranny rubuild. Privious own drove it for who knos how long on a TC or Pump seal leaking on the tranny so looks liek I may have to rebuild the tranny. Oh well I was goign to buy coil spacers and shackles for alittle lift and some 31 M/Ts but. I'd be working on the MJ but I'm going out to the flied gor Gunnery for 3 weeks starting friday :(
  3. LOL its actually a big clearing with a BIG clay/dirt mound. We were wheelin on post off of the tank trails but our normal area was blocked cause of the bad storms (we had a tornado touch down 12miles away the early that morning). And honestly it wasnt a hole the ground was just very soft. ALot softer than it looked... yeah my buddy wasnt to happy we had to send the 2nd TJ to go get a shovel to dig out the other TJ that got stuck when I did
  4. Right now Its still stock.... 88 short bed, 4.0L, AW4, 231, D30/35, 30x9.50s. I have had several XJs but always wanted an MJ so when I was lookign for a little truck and found an MJ in my broke @$$ price range (under 1500) I jumped on it. I have it running alittle better. Just had to replace the emissions hoses and hook up th rest of the vac lines (reused old hoses, so I still have alittle leak for now). The muffler is shot but I have a Advanced Auto $30 universal replacement but it was rainning all weekend so I didnt get a chance to put it on yet (need to cut off the old hanger and weld it to the new one). With the rain we took it as an oppertunity to go playin in the mud when it finally stopped... Image Not Found Image Not Found I needed some lift and better tires. So I'm debating on what to do, Final goal is to have it lifted 5-6.5" with 35s (or 36 Irocs) but the D35 won't handle that and I don't want to do a SOA on an axle i'm goign to get rid of.
  5. Now that my MJ is running good (only needs a mufler now) I'm in the market for alittle lift. There are some cheap 30x9.50 ATs on it right now and when my buddy lifts his bronco I'm getting his BFG 31 ATs. So i'm looking for some lift for more ground clearance and to fit those 31s alittle better when i get them. But I'm not wanting to spend too much on the lift. All we got around here is mud and I jsut drive my MJ around Base so I don't have to worry too much about highway ride and articulation right now. Later down the road I'm going to do a SOA and put it up to around 5-6" so I'll do all those other things then. Who/what do yall recomend?
  6. I'm looking for a cheap replacement muffler... The pipes look good, little surface rust but still good but the muffler well its blown out, completely shot. Just wanting a cheap fix not looking for HP gains or a loud exhaust. What do i need to know to put a replacement in there?
  7. I just ordered mine and will pick it up tomorrow. it was $40 with the military discount.... Its not jus tthat the lines were broke and leaking they were GONE.
  8. Sweet... I'll go to the Napa here and get those ordered. Looks like that would be alot better than just getting bulk hose and tryign to make it work.

  11. Ok fist let me say that this pic is not of my truck its one that someone sent me to help me figure out mine (I can't find my camara right now). I can't remeber that the top senser in the pic is called (its like the Air Temp Senser or something), its got a vac line goign to it but on mine the line isnt there, so where does it go to? The fuel pressure regulator has a line that is supposed to go to it. Well again on mine its not there. Where does it connect to? To the right of the air box there is something with a vac line and a wire attached to it. Not sure what it is but its electrical with a vac line goign to it for some reason so I think it might be important to get the vac line hooked up to it. Where does it go? Does anyone know what that thing is there? All the vacum lines are missing (or at lease most of every line) but I am choosing these three things as the starting point.
  12. LOL yeah aside from the obvious. I should have said that before, Aside from the bed, tail lights, roof and 4drs... Its good to know about the Fuel pump and the floors. I was wanting to swap in some XJ seats in place of the bench. I really liked my XJs and wanted to chop mine to have a bed... Once I get to wheelin my MJ I think I will agree that its better but I'm liking it alot.
  13. Oh i didnt mean that I was goign to load the bikes in right now. Most i'll be putting back there right now till I get the lift is a couple of bags (maybe 200lbs)
  14. I know MJs and XJ's have alot in common but have differences too.. XJ is spring over whil MJ is spring under. What are the other differences?
  15. I'm familary with XJs and the tire clearance's upfront. I know what I can clear, what has to be massaged, and what back spacing is needed up there. As for load in the bed, most I will have back there is a couple of bags and 2 sport bikes (so maybe 1000lbs). I have a guy I work with that is goign to be lifting his 96 full size bronco and is going to sell me his tires and rims cheap. They are BGF ATs 31.10.50 on American Racing rims (I'll check the back spacign when he pulls them off). Most of what I run is just mud... I was hoping I could put these on with some minor massaging (and maybe a thin cheap spacer) till I can pic together the lift I want (then go with 33s).
