  1. The inner ones are for your fog lights, the outer ones are for the brush guard as Eagle stated.
  2. Glad to hear you're alright. Good luck with everything.
  3. You can find the delay module on many Cherokees. As in the picture above, it's attached under the dash on the driver's side. Also get the blue chime module that will let you know if you left the lights on. See this post for more details viewtopic.php?f=4&t=12465
  4. i wouldn't say promoting seniors in high school to drink that much beer is a good idea :smart: :dunno:  I'm sure goblazers_6 meant soda. ;)
  5. The third one down is for the headlight delay module.
  6. My '88, '89, & '90 have Emission Maintenance Timers that trigger at ~82500 miles indicating the O2 sensor requires changing, I'm not sure if '86 was the same. Here's where it's located (from the '90 FSM):
  7. Here's a copy of the '88 electrical manual it's probably similar enough for the brake lights. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12734&hilit=electrical+manual
  8. I like their use of the spare tire winch handle holes.
  9. http://home.comcast.net/~lakeviewcruiser/site/
  10. Nice, where is Lake View Cruiser from? Is World's Fastest Comanche complete? Did he make a run?
  11. I know codes are NOT stored and they would still charge me for the diagnosis no matter what they used scanner or multimeter or ... Not necessarily. The pump stops running when the pressure in the fuel rail reaches the required pressure. If you try to start and get a fail to fire, walk away, then come back and try again before the pressure has bled down sufficiently, the fuel pump may not need to run ... so you won't hear it. Sorry, I thought it was implied to listen upon initial attempts after sitting when the key is turned to the Acc position (first click), hard to hear the pump prime while cranking. Thanks Joe, interesting read. Funny, Eagle posted on that thread also.
  12. Actually it was for my '90 MJ, shows you how much the Service Manager knew. Yeah, that was in '94, I was naive back then, plus this site didn't exist (for that matter very few sites)!!! :rotfl2: What scan tool is used to connect to the 6 way (D1) and 15 way (D2) diagnostic connectors that are between the relays and the coolant bottle? I know codes are not stored, but I thought there were real-time outputs. And back to the original question, can you hear your fuel pump prime every time regardless if it starts or not? I had a loose harness connection by the e-brake causing intermittent fuel pump issues.
  13. Now all it needs is an MJ bed around it.
  14. Sounds like the CPS see below:
  15. That's not a renix valve cover, Here are my three renix ones (90, 89, 88), the ribbing is different (see red circle above) and the bungs appear larger and more off set in yours. OOps, everyone beat me to it while I was taking the pics.
  16. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=17931
  17. No one said you can only have one or the other. :jump:
  18. I'm thinking pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw and a spicy vinegar sauce
  19. How do I remove the mirror from the housing? I already have the mirrors off the truck and I've removed the spring that attaches to the pin and two screws behind the mirror (I see other's I can't reach) but I can't figure out how to remove the mirror. The mirrors are XJ/MJ manual remote folding types. Thanks.
  20. That line does go to the bi-metal temp sensor at the back of the stock air box. The line directly behind it goes to the EGR solenoid on the fender (right of your picture) which you can see is connected.
  21. We are also very happy it wasn't your MJ. Sorry for your Subaru, at least no one was hurt.
  22. I remember him from NAXJA years and years ago. Is he still in the Middle East?
  23. I removed the rear rubber piece before I painted my truck and reinstalled it after painting. It was not urethaned in, just the glass is urethaned. This was in my '90 which I have owned since new so I know it had never been replaced.
