The parts manual calls them Secondary seals, PN 55005012 & 55005013 http://www.chryslerpartsdirect.com says they've both been superseded by PN 55134514 http://www.teamcherokee.com/Weatherstrip/index.html also has them about half way down (Secondary Rain Molding Seal)

What year is your MJ? The 91-92 ones are based on different resistance, just ask jeepdoggydogB. :mad:

When I installed a hitch that uses the stock attachment points the bolts were listed as M10 x 1.5 x 45mm.

Here are what the stock fasteners that you labeled #3 in the diagram look like. The passenger and driver side (left and right in the picture, respectively) are different, the nut on the passenger side fits into the frame rail. Both bolts are Torx head.

That's just wrong, that hood only belongs on 'Cudas and Challengers. :no:

My condolence for your loss, but it sounds like you have plenty of great memories of your time together.

Bolt #11 should be coated with Locktite 592 according to the 1990 FSM, I don't know what color that is.

Get one out of an XJ at the junk yard, you'll only need the bottom pan/cushion. Only four bolts hold it onto the frame. The metal pan on my driver's side was cracked parallel to the frame on the outboard side causing the sag, got one for less than $10 at the local pick-n-pull. I put some plywood between the foam and springs, not the most comfortable on long trips but it was temporary until I got a set of buckets.

Now I’m scraping the bottom of the barrel. Two Matchbox 4-door XJs converted into a long bed MJ.

Yeah, but mine is real with four dogs' worth of abuse in that picture!!! This mutt is the one we found on the side of the freway and it took us three days to actually grab her. We think she has some chow in her, but it's hard to tell with mutts.
