  1. I wish I had purchased the spot weld cutter bits when I did mine. I just used a chizel and hammer. It took far too long.
  2. The stock front door speakers are 5.25in diameter speakers. Some people have successfully fit 6.5in speakers in the front doors but it's a tight fit and gets really close to the manual hand crank. Crutchfield is an excellent source of information on speaker sizes and types. Their prices are a bit high though. If you are missing the square plastic speaker nylon nut plugs they are auveco part# 13933 I purchased them from here and they were the same. These clips are used throughout the jeep. They are the same plastic screw inserts that hold the grill onto the front facia. GM used them a lot on 70-80s cars and AMC loved factory leftovers
  3. the stock rear speaker brackets are for 4x6 speakers. Boxyjeep makes 6in rear speaker brackets if you want to go bigger
  4. The end result came out nicely. I have not had a chance to use the keyparts comanche parts, but I greatly respect their work as they recently brought to market the top floor caps (the rusted out part I showed above) and they look spot on. Keyparts also has the side braces and full length floor pans. No one else offers these. I wish I did my floors when they were available, I would have saved a bunch of time by not having to re-bend and straighten the very disheveled side braces and re-welding, bead blasting and flattening the top floor cap.
  5. The fitment is quite good. Unfortunately, they were not long enough in the front as I had some rot creep up into the driver side wheel well. I also had to add some extra on the sides as I had a cluster of pinholes that needed patching.
  6. C2C does not make the floor pans. They advertise "made in the motor city" on the box. It is a flat out lie. The floor pan has a sticker that says made in Taiwan by CHL. They panels are cheapest on ebay. It's $115 for both sides. I got mine in like 5 days. I think C2C just specializes in importing at this point. If you look hard enough, I would not be surprised if the floor pans are on aliexpress /alibaba / taobao for less, but it'll take like 2 months to get.
  7. @RenaultAlliance Those scans are excellent! Thanks a ton for posting them!
  8. Excellent! Now its a family project and learning experience! The floor replacement is a messy job. I grabbed myself one of these uvex face shields and it was worth every penny. The abrasive wheel debris get everywhere.
  9. When I posted this, the listing did not mention that the drivetrain, interior or rims were excluded from the sale. The seller changed the post. Without those items, he's selling a carcass for $1400. The seller really reuined the deal there. Clearly he's just after selling the super rare diesel parts, the specific cluster and the interior and leaving you with a pile of sheet metal. Truly sad.
  10. It's cross posted in the comanche facebook groups as well. Guy said he'd take $1400 as-is https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1478962169350764/ That's a dang good deal. Someone please buy this, I don't have space and will kick myself for it
  11. There is also a good chance the clips were 3D printed at 15% infill or PLA, which is not as heat resistant as ABS. Printing one in ABS and high infill might solve your problem.
  12. Woah my! The lights sure are fancy Nice job!
  13. Nice! I gotta get myself a KJ rear axle for my MJ. Having a complete rear disc setup with a track width that better matches the front is pretty sweet.
  14. @WahooSteeler Did replacing the power steering lines solve your problem? I think I have an air leak in my power steering pump (I had some foaming after ~300mi trip) and I'm thinking of replacing both lines. I already flushed the power steering pump fluid a few months ago and nothing looked abnormal other than old fluid. Thanks!
  15. I second this. He made a newly revised bracket with spacers so you can fit stock 6.5in speakers without having to cut anything. No b-piller inside cut. no bracket hackjob. Otherwise, keep in mind the comanche cab is small and you don't need a whole lot to make it sound good! I have had good luck purchasing infinity speakers on ebay and lowballing sellers. ~$70 per set of new speakers is pretty ok with me.
  16. The prize is a comanche pioneer + $32,000 USD. Wise choice! It's on live TV right now lol https://buzzrtv.com/watch
  17. This is good information to know. I was debating asking Kody if he had a spare column shifter cable in the future in case mine ever bites the dust. Column shift best shift lol
  18. Great looking truck Bruce! Now if I could only get my front quarter panels looking that straight!
  19. Hahaha. We all end up with new trucks eventually Nice work! My closed loop system seems to still be working, but I'm keeping a spare heater control valve in the passenger glove box for the inevitable kerflooey.
  20. Woah boy talk about a rare unicorn!
  21. Woah, that makes it easier to add a flex joint too. Looks a whole lot better than the walker. Dang. This should match up nicely with newer style flex joint exhaust header. I should buy one for keepsies.
  22. Salvagedcircuit

    New to me

    Looks Cleannn. Nice job
  23. I have some photos of the 2.1 in the engine bay reference guide. All of these photos are correct year by year.
  24. Woah. I've never seen TJ Wheel flares on a comanche. Interesting!
