Yeah, this is likely why my blazer / s10 cargo B-pillas lights both come on when only one is switched. They are wired as a direct connection. Neither light has a back flow protection diode. I'll have to solder each one up in my next round of repairs.

Digikey and mouser are excellent sources for caps. I bet most of the ones used could have been found at radioshack but alas. Microcenter carries capacitors now which is awesome if you are near one.

I have had a lot of good luck with Kody's parts Emporium. Also, there are several great jeep ebay sellers. jeepcemetery, Timbukthree and romi_2671 to name some. There are a lot of parts that make a vehicle. I've had some success asking ebay sellers for a specific parts and they have occasionally had it but it was not listed on ebay yet. Also, the folks on here are great. I've purchased many parts off guys here and the wanted thread helps. It looks like some sale pages are old, but folks tend to respond frequently to messages. Nice work! This exact same thing happened to my dad a little more than 2 decades ago on his 89 XJ. The window went down just fine, but if you rolled it down all the way it would not come back up. He guessed something stripped at the end of the window's travel. His solution was incredibly simple: a 2x4. He screwed in a 2x4 inside the door frame from the bottom side. The 2x4 was cut just enough that the window rolled down 95%. The window would never go down all the way but who cares, it would come back up every time, avoiding the damaged part of the window travel. This questionable fix lasted for 15 years until my brother, who inherited the XJ, replaced the door for other reasons. Hats off to you for fixing it the right way!

Mine is not a reference truck by any means, but I hope some of these photos help. If you need high resolution versions, I can send you them directly. It looks like the cable veers leftward from the driver column and loops down underneath the gap created under the master cylinder.

How has it been holding up for you? The amazon reviews on newly made alphabet-soup brand versions point toward catastrophic failure after 6-12months.

Ooof. Sorry to hear that. You could remove the oil pan, unbolt piston #4 and push it out the top. It looks like a bit of work, but may be less work than removing the entire engine from the engine bay. edit: older 4.0L engines do not have the bottom girdle as shown in the below video
