There's a reason In-N-Out is expanding everywhere and Whataburger isn't... I mean, In-N-Out expanded into Texas and has long lines at the drive through. Whataburger only has long lines because of its other name.... Waitanhour.

Both say J20 in the title but then the description says J10 in both.

Cheat sheet for which grill is which. And yes, you can swap any grille from any FSJ onto any other FSJ. 63-91 had the same underlying sheet metal to support the Rhino grille. The only difficulty is the extra brackets to support the various grilles that were spot welded in place. It's simple to duplicate and/or remove any of those brackets as necessary to support your desired transplant. And for the Razor/Cheese Grater/Egg Crate grilles, there is a bar that is bolted to the hood to complete the look. It can be hard to come by if you really want one.

Yeah. Looking around at the reports it looks a few places got over 3 feet. Closest I could find to me said 15 inches or so. Of course, the wind caused the drifts to go higher.

Yeah, I moved the MJ to make room for the other vehicles for this reason. Once spring takes hold I'll probably shuffle them out to make room for the project work.

3rd time for me. Both my drivers are in the garage so no cleaning it off. Took the XJ on 32" Duratracs for a spin. Plenty of places a regular car would get stuck. They're plowing but it's still blowing so it's drifting up a bit.

Just got in from snow blowing my driveway and the new neighbor across the street. Can't really tell because its blowing. But 4-6 inches off the top will help out a lot later.

Tough call. I'd lean towards metric just because it's easier to keep the numbers straight in your head. Dealing with fractions in your head takes a few extra seconds each time. But honestly I'd be happy with either so long as every fastener was the same standard. Mixed SAE and metric on the same vehicle is a pain. Waffles or french toast?

It's always a good idea to have a pressure regulator with a bypass return line when you run an electric pump. The constant flow of fuel keeps the pump cool. It's not mandatory, just a good idea. You can fit a length of hose in place of the pump and install an external pump. Depending on the pressure provided to the TBI, you maybe could just put in a pressure regulator with the factory pump. If it's like GM TBI with 15 PSI it could work. If it's up above 40, a pressure regulator may not work. But I'd personally try to get the TBI running. I like it over a carburetor any day.

Total accumulation is only an inch or two so far. The storm isn't done though. Tomorrow will bring more.

It's been snowing all afternoon but it's only just now starting to accumulate on the concrete.

Yeah, the math is well understood. Trouble is, there are so many equations to run that even our biggest computers can't do them fast enough to be useful. They can generate a very accurate forecast for the next 24 hours. But it takes weeks to generate it. So it's not useful. Yet.

Rain has started here. Could turn into snow. We'll see what happens.

I keep thinking back to this...

They do tend to exaggerate a lot. But 1-2 feet or more is a lot. It probably won't be as bad as some are suggesting but it probably will be significant. But yeah, people are going nuts over this. I'm already ready for a storm. I always have supplies on hand in the winter.

242 Tcase, ax-15 and tight turns
derf replied to SatiricalHen's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I get a little binding in tight turns with my 242 and automatic in my 01 XJ. The differential in the case has some torque bias so it's not completely open.
