This is the truth. Throw some torx in there and you’re in for a real fun time. Gotta go with French toast. JL pr JK?

I know that you have an electric fuel pump on hand, but if you truly want old school, is there any way you could run a mechanical pump? Personally, I prefer a manual fuel pump with carbs anyways.

Without almonds Standard or Metric?

Thank you! It did wonders for it in person! The wet sanding also took of the rust stains, so the truck looks much better now!

That is one fiiiinnnnneeee looking truck! -
Yeah, those and the flares need their annual coat of Mother’s Back to Black.
-
No, there wasn’t enough room to get a good pic, there were about 3 feet between the front of the truck and the back of my dad’s YJ. I also grabbed this pic when unloading the truck.

We wet sanded this today to bring some of the old paint back. It’s hard to tell in pics. We also painted the grille/headlight bezels. Before wet sand: After: Grille before and after:

More stuff! I emptied the bed and installed the KSuspension headlight relay harness along with some Hello e-code housings and H4 bulbs. They are BRIGHT!! where I have the relays mounted, the hood prop rod rests on top of them and still clears the hood

Looks like he used truckcoversusa. Page 6 and 7 on his build thread. -
Need a folding tonneau cover

Why a folding one? You may want to look at what @Limeyjeeper did with his Comanche Dawn. That’s a slick setup (but pricey). -

Crew Cab Comanche YouTube build
89 MJ replied to ComancheCrewCab's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
Why did you decide to go with such a short bed? To keep overall length down? -
I wouldn't. It probably wouldn't be an upgrade at this point and may actually be counterproductive.

Were those the "Comanche Chief" hood stripes? It looks like that is what they come from.
-
This is the truth. I believe it was @Jeep Driver that said a while back that it is easy to get along with most people on a 1 on 1 basis, but society as a whole is stupid. Of course, I'm paraphrasing, but I think you catch the drift.
-
I think we deserve some pictures of the whole truck . We haven't seen all of LR in a while.

Scaleless's '87 SporTruck Project
89 MJ replied to scaleless's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you! That engine looks like a really good one to rebuild and stroke. -
Cheap too! These are the best fixes
-
I think it would too, my only concern is the front flares. Of all of my extra flares, none of them are the factory "base model" black type flares. I will need to source new front flares from my local JY to make it match and make the front look OEM like @neohic did.
-
I might toss the OEM one on tomorrow to see how it looks. I will probably be doing my headlight relay harness and H4 housings/bulbs swap tomorrow too.
