Pool floor has now been patched, it is in the process of being filled. So far so good with the new plaster patches in place. Also put in a new pool lamp and of course it is LED and took all the jets out and replaced their seals before filling and patching the pool.

I might do so when this happens. You don’t know how hard to is to find Renix era parts for these engines.

Well if thats the case then you have a really rare part on your hands. If it is what I think it is, it is from an 84-85 XJ that had what was known as system sentry, it monitored the all fluid levels on the Jeep itself. It did not find its way onto 86 and newer models.

Alrighty then. It’s gonna be challenging for us to assist you. It sounds like you’re describing the windshield wiper reservoir. That has a sensor that goes to the cluster and tells you when you’re out of wiper fluid.

Blue faces or the black “sport” style? Ok that doesn’t really matter but you should still be able to test it.

What year is the tach? It can be tested, you need ground, power and a wire lead to the coil or the tach signal from the diag port.

Sounds like the sender has a ground issue, not so much a pump issue.

Hahahaha I can't say yall are to really blame for our high prices. I could go on a tangent but I won't. Back to the prices I can't recall a day where they were more than $4. They did linger for a bit at that $4.10 range for I want to say the mid 00's but I don't remember.

I learned this one the hard way when installing my tank, all three straps despite being the same part number wise(I used OEM ones), they each had a different bend to fit how they were installed. No matter how many times I forced one to bend I still couldn’t get a bolt on one. Been there done that, I feel for ya.

Not exactly. I have run VINs in order in terms of the last 8 and have seen various production dates. Probably what AMC and what everyone else did was manufacture the cars they could get that was say a base model and the higher end models would be built later or even early depending on availability of parts and if it has been customer ordered or not. So while his was made at a later date, yours could’ve had all the parts ready to be assembled vs the other one needing something like a special paint.

Haha thanks! When I replace parts I usually take a peak and see if there is anything out there floating around. If nothin I take that part number and check to see if anyone has it listed out there. Only to avoid the aftermarket and spending money in the future on poor quality parts.
