You should be fine to install the trans. The Chrysler A900 series shouldn’t need a TCU I think but the 2.8L and 2.5L shared the same auto trannys from 84-86. Now if you have one of those rare AW4’s behind the 2.5L, then I’ll be damned haha.

For the most part you might be good to go. I’ll have to look at the set up for the TB to trans cable but it sounds like you have almost everything. Is your flex plate set up for the Renix TBI?

You’re gonna need the tone ring flex plate for the 2.5L. That’s the biggest one you will need for the swap. Otherwise it all should work. Otherwise I am not sure of what else from the 2.5L and 2.8L is compatible. But I want to say a good chunk of 2.8L auto stuff probably won’t swap over.

Now how many people can say they turned a pass seat frame into a drivers? I can! Lol. cut the adjuster and move it to the other side a voila. A drivers side frame. Course this only works on the non tilt frames.

Indeed it is. Now I have three bolts to hold the drivers seat down instead of the two in the rear. I even got proactive and ordered four new studs for the drivers side seat. I even was able to finally swap to the reclining seat bracket and boy that is really nice. Now I need to take one of the seat frames I have and chop the tilt lever thing off and weld it to the opposite side so I can have a complete set.

Aaaaannnd we’re back!! After complications with removing the drivers side seat(thanks rust) I now am finally able to move more forward. And honestly I can say here that this isn’t the worst rust I have seen but this could be worse since it is an 84 but absolutely not bad. This is just the drivers side. Have not yanked up the pass side. I have two directions to go. Get a floor pan from an XJ that I know is good or get aftermarket replacements.

That is a indeed a vintage set of trim rings. If I was the OP I would snag those up.

I’ve got a NOS one I could take a pic of haha. But what I can tell you is this. There are four vac lines that run to the vac reservoir (football) behind the bumper. Two are for the HVAC and two go to CC. I don't know which ones are which as they can easily be plugged in either way on the football, but you will probably have to do some jiggling of the vac lines to see what is what. Follow one line from the servo and back to the football while the other line should meet where the HVAC gets it’s vac from. The second hose connected to the servo is with the CC wiring harness and it goes into the firewall and is plugged into a vac dump valve behind the brake pedal.

Oooo my area haha. I recommend checking the vac lines first. Once those are known to be good, check the switch that goes behind the brake pedal and make sure it is adjusted right(two man job). After that we will need to check electrical.

Wellll I mean it’s a perfectly good lookin MJ. Granted it is in WA but I know things up there don’t rust out as bad as the rust belt gang.
