  1. I’m about 90% done with my auto swap on my Comanche . Originally a 5 speed and one of my last roadblocks is the shift cable . I’ve seen conflicting info on if the hole for it is there or not but i don’t feel it so i think I’ll have to drill it . I found this picture on the forum but My question is what interior has to come out to access the spot to drill . I don’t want to pull any more than i have to .
  2. Looking for a renix flexplate , auto throttle body bracket , tcu , engine and trans harness
  3. Thank you that makes me know at least I’m not missing a wire . Any way to know if they’ve got that hooked up correctly white to black . And then red to white/black
  4. So I’ve had an MJ for a little while working on the odds and ends here and there to make it roadworthy . And it’s almost there yesterday i got my REM in the mail. Installed it and all of a sudden no start . Cranks fine but will not start . It reads CPS fault . Sounds simple replace It and call it a day . But the PO of the truck has some hack jobs I'm cleaning up and that’s one of them . Instead of 3 wires i have two . My question is is this the right cps even in the truck where to look for a third wire when replacing it . But it has ran for the past month so I’m a little lost
  5. Looks like learning to solder is this weekends project . Should i go ahead and put a new map on it since I’m doing all this? thank you for the quick diagnosis and pointing me in the right direction
  6. Started stripping back wiring and found this . After just pulling back the amount of electric tape it started right back up and is running smoother but any idea what they’ve done here ?
  7. Cruiser . I would say you’re spot on to something . Went out played with the map connector it killed the truck . Then went right back to the original no start issue i was having . The previous owner was a bit of a get er done mechanic from what i can see .
  8. Part number : 0280155746 i bought them off kSuspension 87-90 range
  9. It Also has a new fuel pump and 4 hole injectors . Did a tune up new plugs and wires . Check distributor index it was dead on. Map line was previously replace with a hard steel line so no cracks there .
  10. I appreciate the input . Initially the resistor was bypassed when i got the truck . But after getting it running . I’ve rehooked it with no change to running condition before or after
  11. I got my 1990 4.0 with a no start condition. Well sort of . It would start then die immediately . I went to replace the 02 sensor broke it off . So once i fixed all that up pulling the intake and header . It runs . But it runs extremely rich . Backfires and smells of gas . The previous owner bypassed the EGR system . If someone could point me in the right direction I’d be much appreciative. It’s been one thing after another with this one .
  12. Blue . 4x4 . 2.5 . On the road in indiana. Buddy of mine owns it
  13. Located in Indiana . Buckets . 4.0 manual trans . It’s on the road most the time
  14. How would i go about checking flow rate ?
  15. So i bought a comanche always wanted one . The previous owner told me it ran but would die . It’s been a head scratcher . It starts and stalls after about 5 seconds . Things I’ve tried - bypassed fuel ballast resistor . - cleaned ground behind drivers taillight -jumpered fuel pump relay I get 40 psi at the rail with it jumped . But with starting fluid i can keep it running . It stalls like normal even with the pump jumped . I’m at a loss here anyone ?
