I was just talking to a friend the other day and he was there while his girlfriend attended a conference. He saw the replica of the acropolis in Athens and said it is awesome. He showed me pics and I was very impressed, I didn't even know it was there and I have visited a few times. Have fun! Buck.

I have seen people post that the eraser wheel drill attachment works really well, I think you can get them at auto parts stores. I wonder if having the stripes painted will make it more difficult. Good Luck. Buck.

That is awesome work, wow! Very impressive, keep the pics coming! Buck. -
Don, I think you should get it just because it will be in good hands and not be abused. If you buy it will your new son in law think you are giving him the mj? Buck

I like the look of the black steelies better than white, more menacing, if our stock height trucks can be called that! I painted my grey stock rims black but went with chrome trim rings and chrome center caps. I might go back to black center caps and no rings someday, nice to have options that don't cost! Buck.

Driveway Ornament To Daily Driver: 7 Years!
buxmj replied to Minuit's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Congrats on getting your a/c going again. That is something I really want to get fixed in mine, every spring I think I will have the money to do it and the money goes elsewhere. If I drove my mj more I would definitely find the money, luckily it is no longer the daily driver. Great mj you have, keep up the great work, enjoying all the updates. Buck. -
Got a lot done on the mj this last weekend. I bought some things at a u pick several months ago and finally had time to get them on the truck. I got the door seals and mirrors from a a 98 xj. I also finally put my spare tire winch back in so I don't have to carry the spare in the bed any longer. It is nice to have to close the doors a little harder to completely close them, great seal. The mirrors look so much better than the stock mirrors, plus a little bit bigger mirror, better vision. The cable had broken on the spare tire winch and I had taken it apart and put it back together a year or two ago and never put it back in, wanted it to be safe. Luckily the cable broke at the end and was in great shape. I think I read every post on this subject and came up with this combination. I put a knot at the end of the cable (thanks Jim for that suggestion) and then used 2 cable clamps. I also used to 2 ratchet straps (thanks Don) to take the weight off the cable and I hope it lasts, it should. I also have 2 new to me floor mats, thanks Rob.

'88 Eliminator... Feb. 2009 - June 2026
buxmj replied to neohic's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Great job! Looks awesome. I agree that Meguiars makes the best car care products out there. In my younger years my older brother(prob 16 at the time) wanted to take the parents car out so he thought he would wash and wax it. He applied wax to the whole car before he started to wipe it off, couldn't figure out why it wouldn't come off. He had used Johnson's paste wax, yes, the floor wax. My mom was not very happy, we all had to pile in the car and drive to auto parts stores while she went in to ask what to do. One guy at the counter yelled to someone in the back to come out and look what some kid did to his mom's car! Anyway Meguiars car cleaner wax was suggested and it took it right off. I have used their products since. Buck -

Wow, I can't believe the bed was not infected, amazing. Buck. -
This is the new upholstered driver's seat next to my original passenger seat. The guy did a great job and I didn't have to spend the big bucks to have them both done.
