  1. On-highway: NP or NV242 without a doubt. Serious off-highway: NP208AM over a NP231 any day!
  2. What about parts from other MJs? ;) I have interior lights from an Army tank, Extended lower arms from an XJ I parted, TJ 6" coils, 'YJ brake hoses, Rough Country adjustable trac-bar, SOA swapped in XJ rear axle (with a D44 from a '66 IH waiting to go in) Canopy from an S10 shortbox, column with shifter from an Auto MJ (and Steering box from an FSJ waiting to go in along with a ZJ brake booster/master) AW4 auto from a '92 XJ, NV242 too Wiring harness from a '90 XJ (no more C101 connector!) 33/9.50/15 tires on '96 XJ rims
  3. Pager 35 (just tossed it last week) Cell phone 47
  4. Wish I still had pics of my '66. It had longhorns on it too!~
  5. I had the hose go bad on mine and make like a cork in the system.
  6. Warm water over the part the shaft is stuck into helps too.
  7. Do you have trailer hitch wiring for electric brakes?
  8. Put a motion sensor across the road hooked to a nice loud horn.
  9. This is how to look at it: Are any liquids going down? (engine oil, antifreeze, excessive fuel consumption) If not, then it's nothing to worry about. There is a LOT of moisture in fuel, especially where they put alcohol in.

    Back for a bit

I've been out due to health/work issues. Just had all my lower teeth yanked tuesday, felt a lot better, now I feel like the flu is going to hit. Sunuvabitch!
  12. I think there are klingons circling Uranus!
  13. To get the code, you pop the lock loose on the passenger's side (pull the clip holding it in) tip it out and write down the code, then put it right back. Doesn't take long.
  14. Is it tomorrow yet?
  15. For a "temporary" fix, an EL-12 flasher will still work if only 1 bulb flashes.
  16. I didn't do the stop extenders, but I did do the lower arms (non-adjustable), 6" TJ coils (makes for a nice ride, but only 5 1/2" lift) adjustable trac-bar, YJ brake hoses and shock extenders (they were nearly new stock length) and SOA rear.
  17. Got the lower arms changed on it?
  18. The input spline is 23 spline on both, BUT the later models ('96 up I think) are a twisted spline.
  19. Pop the top to see if t has fluid in it.
  20. Passenger's side has a code for the key
  21. Spark module under the coil got corroded connections?
  22. Missing exhaust hangers will do it too.
  23. Why didn't someone mention the Mopar axle? '91 up XJs used them and earliest MJs used the Model 20 as well.
  24. Chrome keeps shutting off on my Linux machine
