Can Spell Comanche

Can Spell Comanche (2/11)

  1. Just had one of the top E-12 Torx head round off. I am out of ideas besides pulling the engine. Any suggestions so I don't have to do that?
  2. Do they make replacement rocker panels for jeeps?
  3. What are the necessary tools so I can bang it out in a day? Any thing more besides a transmission jack? I have a 5 speed 4.0.
  4. Thanks for the advice I'm ordering one now from Luk. How is the job with out a lift?
  5. I need to do a slave cylinder for a 1989 4.0 Comanche So I'm going to do the clutch as well does anyone have any suggestions on witch brand I should buy?
  6. How can I tell what kind of transmission I have? I have a 1989 4.0L, 5 speed, 4 wheel drive does any one have any thoughts?
  7. absolutely. So this is the part under the bed right? I will give you more than shipping, do u have paypal?
  8. Ya I did all that, I have a thread on it, its called "still no heat"
  9. Are they compatible with cherokee's?
  10. It was about a quater inch away so I tighten up the cable and ziptied it to the stop just to be certain. I got to spend the rest of the night with the wife and kids so no time for a test drive let you know tomorrow thanks.
  11. Mine looks differnt than his I guess, I have an 89, 4.0. I have elimenated the heater core actuator but my coolant lines run differnt then his, both mine run from the thermostat area, and one from the thermostat. And were mine enters the heater core is a three way were one line goes to the overflow resivior. :help: I'm just desperate for heat I've open up another post on it if you have anything for me.
  12. So I have elimenated the heat vacuum actuator, flushed the heater core (no obstructions) and changed the theromostat and still have not had any change with my heat situation. It blow room tempeture air and on these cold days its just useless. Is there somting that I have missed :fs1: 89, 4.0
  13. So just to double check you have complety elimenated the over flow resvior. And also do you need to plug that vacuum hose that went to the heater valve?
  14. If your going threw the trouble to take out the key cylinder then you might as well get another set from a junk yard of a cherokee, its going to be cheaper with a touch more labor but worth it. I did mine last week, I took the lock cylinders from a 96 cherokee and put them in my 89 MJ (make sure you get a jeep with the keys in it). Nothing wrong with have two keys for my MJ now I can finally lock it.
  15. Does any one know were I can get and E-bake tentioner. Mines rusted but the cable still works fine?
