  2. "91/'92 ZJs are only found with the '96 TJs. :popcorn: Spline count changes are '87 to '90 21 spline and '91 up 23 spline (they swirled the splines in the late '90s) I put an AW4 and NP242 in mine (and it'll be finished hopefully end of this week while I have access to a garage!)

  8. I'm doing this swap myself. My question is the firewall pinout differences between an '87 with BA 10/5 and a '90 XJ 4.0L with AW4. I got rid of the C101 connector but didn't think is there was a firewall pinout difference and I'd like to know before I put a battery in the truck in the next couple weeks.
  9. Check the vacuum hose between the MAP sensor and intake. Then get a can of electronic cleaner spray and spray the TPS (if it improves immediately, it's going bad but mine worked better for a year after I did that), Check the CPS connector and use the spray on that too (do all the underhood connectors and try it one at a time till you get the one that makes it better)

  15. A lot of times NatGas becomes unavailable in those situations. I have a 4D truck battery for backup and LED lights (that run on 12VDC) so I can just fire up the car and attach jumper cables to the shed to recharge (or get a car going if the battery is dead) I have a 5500W genset that is getting converted to LPG once I sell my Chev pickup.

  18. 21 vs 23 spline with 08/90 being the break point in automatics EXCEPT the 3 speed auto used 84 to 86 was only available with a short 23 spline. AX-15 came on board part way through '89 with 23 spline.
  19. Is the tag missing from the front diff?
  20. If you go '80 and newer FSJ except the truck you'll get the correct width
  21. Mine will just be an extended cab.
