I would err on the side of caution and just put them on the back. You might get away with it if you never go to full lock but that's a mighty big if. Stock LCA's aren't all that strong to begin with and I certainly wouldn't want to start tearing things up on the front end. I suppose you could get smaller tires but that's a bit of an investment.

The Federal government is tasked with protecting the integrity of the nation as a whole against threats both foreign and domestic. The notion that vaccines don't work goes against the grain of history since the late 18th century when live attenuated vaccines were administered for small pox. There's a whole history of diseases that have all but been irradicated for the most part because of the technology. Typhoid, cholera, diphtheria, pertussis, polio, the list is long. Right now the vaccine is by and large protecting against death from Covid 19. All you have to do is look at the stats.... 94 percent of deaths from Covid 19 are among the unvaccinated. The result is that the medical systems continue be overwhelmed by the pandemic. Health care workers are leaving in droves because they are burned out and frankly they just don't give a $#!& any longer because the deaths are unnecessary. It's called compassion burn out. The government has a vested interest in a functioning healthcare system and it's effect on public safety. A functioning military. Try avoiding conscription during a war setting and see what happens to your personal freedom. You ain't got none. A functioning economic system is also in the government's interest. As disfunctional as it has come to be it is still in the government's interest to regulate commerce and trade, both domestic and foreign. The current state of affairs has clearly had a deleterious effect on commerce, employment, housing, not to mention the general welfare and its promotion thereof. Liberties don't come free. They require sacrifice, responsibility, and the ability to see the benefit of those virtues as they pertain having a cohesive country capable of withstanding the vicissitudes and threats that seem to be endemic to modern life. The magnitude of which only seem to grow in proportion to population growth and it's concomitant stressors to homeostasis. Get the vaccine and we will all be better off. Amazing how all those flag wavers don't seem to give a crap when the welfare of the country is at stake. Me, Me, Me.....

Personally I was always a fan of the Darwin Awards. Pandemic, bring it on! Way too many people on the planet as it is. I'm also a big fan of sarcasm, just in case it went unnoticed. If you don't want to get vaccinated that's fine by me. Just agree not to go to the hospital when you come down with it and take up space from someone else who may need acute medical care for some other good reason besides personal freedom. By the way, 94% of deaths from covid are now the unvaccinated. People also need to go to hospitals and clinics for reasons other than the covid, say like me. I want to know that the provider has taken the basic steps needed to keep from infecting me. I'm old ya know, might not take that much and I'm not done with my Comanche yet.

Your ammeter can read proper voltage and you can still have a dead battery. Ideally it needs to be load tested but you would have to get it to a load tester. You can take it out ant take it to a parts store and they can test it for you, I think. I usually just took mine to my shop. Check your fluid in the battery to make sure it's up to snuff. You can put it on a battery charger also and see if it will take a charge and see if that changes the equation. The fact that you were able to clean up the terminals and get some electron flow back reinforces my opinion on a dead battery. Easiest place to start imo. Check to see what the purchase date is on it and how many months of life it's supposed to have.

Make sure the track bar mounting holes aren't wallowed out. The one on the axle side can have a proper size grade 8 welded on to the front for the easiest fix to that problem. There is a kit you can buy, might want to do a search on CC to find out which it is. I was able to get the proper adapter in the kit from Autozone. Make sure you have a herfy breaker bar and a pipe to extend it for leverage. Couldn't have done mine without it. You may have to adjust axle and body relationship up or down to get best angle on breaking things loose. Hope it's a warm space you are doing this in. Good luck. Just happened to have a link to the kit that's been recommended here. https://kevinsoffroad.com/products/kor-9906-hw-track-bar-upgraded-hardware-kit

Check your ball joints, particularly the lower non greasable ones for any noticeable rust that might be coming from inside. If there is chances are they are bad.

Having just swapped in an overload spring to my 3+1 this fall I can say that the center bolt is the same size in diameter (3/8ths inch). I used the cap head bolts Pete mentioned. The head fits the dana 44 plate perfectly. It does not fit the dana 35 plate, the hole is smaller by 1/16. I had to drill it out as I left the 35 in until I took it to the shop to have the gears in the 44 redone and swapped over. Still in the process of breaking it in.

A quick google search on the model number shows it does indeed have bushings instead of bearings and most everything is obsolete on it. I'd leave it just the way it is. Take the blade out (or not) set it on a shelf and be reminded of days gone past. I used to own one of those myself back in my carpenter days. Eventually it was stolen along with some other cheap tools. Very happy to have upgraded from there at the Big Tool Box, otherwise known to many of us as the "Big Fool Box."

I had the timing chain replaced on my MJ a few years ago by a local 4x4 shop. Something that I wasn't going to be able to get to before an upcoming trip. I asked him to check out the rear brakes as there was squeaking coming from the brakes on take off. He said I plenty of shoe pad left but the drums were out of round. He installed new drums for me, left the shoes on and all was well after that. Don't know what is going on with your drums but mine brakes just fine after replacing just the drums.

I am overheating and I need it fixed yesterday
rokinn replied to Jesse J's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
If you have any kind of leak it is going to overheat repeatedly no matter how many times you burp it. When the engine cools down instead of drawing the coolant back from the expansion bottle it will just suck air in from the leak and you're back to square one. Check all of the O rings, hose clamps etc. Make sure there are no pin holes or leaks from radiator itself. You may need to clean your radiator and engine bay to find them. If you don't have a thermostat with the hole and little toggle thingy then you're not getting the air past the thermostat to be purged. Drill a hole on the top side if there isn't one. And better yet get the 91 thermo housing and a 3/8th npt brass plug and bleed it through there. Much better and easier way to bleed the system. -

If it were me, and since it's only being considered for the first year, I would drive the Eagle. Spend the time between now and when you go getting ahead of any maintenance it may likely need and take your chances. I would not take the MJ since pilfered parts have a decent market value. If I recall correctly your recent sojourn with the MJ also was met with mechanical issues along the way. Of course I know nothing about the condition of the Eagle so I would take any advice I offer with a grain of salt. I agree with the used Honda or Toyota as well if it's been well maintained. I like Subaru's but I would never recommend one with the 2.5 engine given the head gasket issues, or much of anything between 1997 and 2015 in the 2.5. The 3.6 would be a different consideration IMO. I'm still driving a 95 Legacy wagon with just 75K on it but it has the bullet proof 2.2. The first generation Legacy held the world endurance speed record from 1989 to 2005. 100,000km at 139 mph non stop (with oil and tire changes along the way of course). Good luck and enjoy your college years. And don't go crazy with a new found sense of freedom like so many of us did and it seems some still do. Can be well known butt biters. Somehow I don't think that's you though.

I recently got stung by wasps twice in two days coming out my back door. First time on the top of my head and the second on my upper lip. Seems the little buggers were building a nest in my outside light. Needless to say, I was highly irritated about the one on the lip. My wife said she had never seem me that mad or swear like that before. The dog neither. Put some StingEze on it and no swelling and minimal pain almost immediately. I've had the little bottle so long most of the lettering has worn off. Good stuff. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003EMAFQU/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B003EMAFQU&pd_rd_w=OXH0S&pf_rd_p=5d846283-ed3e-4512-a744-a30f97c5d738&pd_rd_wg=p6fIO&pf_rd_r=J4N153GJEQSBF9M28FYC&pd_rd_r=649f4854-d59e-4695-864b-f53f5c04595b&smid=A2ARKDQYPSRASS&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExTzFPUE5VVUNSSDNXJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNzM1OTU3MUg5Q0Q0S1VCMElCVCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNDc1NTk2MVJEQUNYTFlPOFhMSiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2RldGFpbF90aGVtYXRpYyZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

My neighbor had a hip replacement awhile back. She said the only thing that helped with the pain enough to let her sleep was CBD. It works well at reducing pain and inflammation. I did a cursory look at the laws in Georgia and you can get hemp derived cbd there. It was recommended to get it online and I would recommend using only the CO2 processed form. It works well as a Cox2 inhibitor. Good luck.

You need to determine whether it is an open diff or a trac lock limited slip (or quite possibly something else). Trac lock LS needs a friction modifier. Should be a tag on the back. If it's not there then you need to open it up and determine what it is. If you open it up take a pic and someone on here can tell you what it is.

New track bars range from $14 to $52 for a Moog on Rockauto. Have a shop weld on a proper size grade 8 washer to the front. Ace or whomever has them. If you frequent a particular shop they might just do it for free or a nominal fee. Get a proper length and diameter grade 8 bolt and nut. You don't need a flag nut. A box end wrench will hold it on the back side. I think I used a lock washer also but I don't remember for sure. Torque the crap out of it and check it every once in a while. Drilling out the holes to match a worn out bushing might be the cheap approach but once the track bar wears out completely it just means problems getting getting things back to spec in the future for you or someone else. -

Mine was wallowed on both sides as well. I welded a hardened washer on the front side and after several years it's still quite snug. Does the job.
