MJOTM - October, 2015 - ggcnash's '91
ggcnash replied to neohic's topic in Comanche of the Month (MJOTM)
Thanks guys, for the kind words it means a lot! Now as far as the buckets go definitely loads more comfy, but surprisingly the bench just makes the cab feel so much more roomy. I also grabbed a small bench console (armrest) that fits nicely. -

2 wd bucket seat bezels
ggcnash replied to 90comancheswb's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I think he is talking about seat bezels stroker 3D printed. The knob has a push pin, what I did was get a drill bit that was just a little smaller, it actually fit inside the pin, then I slowly drilled and push them out. Then when your done put the knob back on with same pins. The reason I used a drill bit was they didn't wanna move by just pushing, so basically the bit was able to push and turn it. Good luck -
At least you can lay back and roll a fatty talk about a stress reliever [emoji16] On a serious note though, I love CO, my parents have owned property outside of CO Springs since I was young I will agree with the above poster that CO is on the expensive side but not outrageous it all depends on what your looking for and how close to the city you wanna be good luck.

Aftermarket taillights on a Comanche?
ggcnash replied to DirtyJeepGuy's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Man, I'm happy they are making these for mjs, but these are not something I would personally buy. I like the idea of the boxes with mounting holes, or just boxes and I'll cut my own lights in. -

Link plz -
doing it that way gets pretty pricey just the shocks coils and leafs cost more than the whole zone kit.You get what you pay for, learned this the hard way! Not trying to be an @$$, but I have went the cheap route wound up costing me double, because I wasn't going to pretend I was on PBR bull while driving my truck! Trust me if your gonna drive this thing on the road with any consistency, save your money and do it right the first time.

Fiat and Chrysler had recalls for the issue of hacking there system on the Cherokee. The fix was a memory stick and about 5 minutes. The guys that took it public now work for uber! The race for the autonomous driving auto is on.

Exhaust bypass (muffler/cat) Dallas tx
ggcnash replied to Viper3c's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Better run the muffler it's annoying without one anyways! Now for the cat, where you and I live you will never here a word about it, the question is if you want to do your part for the planet. I personally do not have one on at this time ,the stock cat was clogged and haven't had the extra 100$ for hi flow cat but will get one eventually[emoji16] -

First Comanche (need some help)
ggcnash replied to Ss0714's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Same here, it's best to mix and if your not in a rush you can buy parts as they go on sale! Hell creek in the rear is the way to go IMO you won't find them on sale ever (you get what you pay for) but you do get a CC discount. BDS, and RE is nice stuff for front some people have luck with RC I personally never have there is a reason it's cheap! As far as engine mods nothing is really worth it take it from someone that has almost every mod you can do to a 4.0 without stroking it(does make it noisier). Very minimal gains across the board, now a dyno might tell a different story with a few HP gain but if you can't feel it what's the point. I agree with mike that there are a lot of 4.0's without upgraded injectors but that is one mod I would do, it runs noticeably smoother no power gains that I can tell just smoother. -
