The car wash killed my steering, why?
Strokermjcomanche replied to Badbobaz's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I would first take pictures of up underneath to get a better feel of what's a matter. But if I had to guess, considering no worn components before hand I would say the steering box spacer broke or it might've cracked your frame . -

I have parts from # 7 that came from a junkyard in California and other S/C parts I got from southern Ohio which I have no idea what number it was . I know it's not thread worthy, just trying to account for where 2 of the hundred have gone ...

Track bar stuck beyond belief
Strokermjcomanche replied to billyblankss's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Take the track bar bracket off and out of the truck. you'll have a lot better chance of working on it because you'll be able to see what's going on. You could try heating the outer portion where the track bar goes through and that should loosen it up some -
It needs a paintball gun where the toy gun is lol .

Some evaporust should clean the metal on the sending unit right up .

Comanche Wildernest Trailer project
Strokermjcomanche replied to Strokermjcomanche's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
I just installed new shocks when I pick this trailer up and it's still has quite a bit of roll. I don't know if any more weight added to the lower portion of the trailer will help preload the springs and eliminate some roll,or possibly some sort of U-bolt around the leafs putting some sort of tension on them. I'm gonna wait to do anything until the trailer is loaded with everything that I plan on using. -

I'll take any pictures you'd like to share , I appreciate it Ben . : I need to put stabilizer jacks on , i'm thinking four of the same scissor jacks from a junkyard will do the trick. : Replace/refinish some of the hardware ,i've already done some of it… : Seal/repair the tent : Try to eliminate some body roll that the trailer has . I know it's a bit top-heavy with the Wildernest , but I think I can eliminate some of it. : I need to figure out what I want to do about water and electricity . I'm not trying to make it over complicated or overpriced, but I do want it to be functionable so I can enjoy it. : Reinforce the lid, I'm not a small guy and I don't want to take a chance of breaking the lid sleeping on it. I may just be paranoid, but I want to make sure it doesn't get ruined. : I need to replace the bulb seal as well, it's pretty crusty and I would like to try to stop the water from getting in there if possible. -
