Possible Axle Upgrade Ft And Rr
MancheKid86 replied to Me&my86MJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
if you wanted to use a passenger drop, you would need a new tcase, and also re do the engine mounts, as they make the powertrain slightly off to the right or re-sleeve the axle, both are costly, if you are tossing a diesel in, then you will be making your engine mounts anyways, and could at that time slap in the passenger side tcase at the same time -

I Screwed Up And Need Help
MancheKid86 replied to coyote kid's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
ouch, I'm with jeepdriver, hopefully it just blew the intake seal, causing a missfire where its leaking into the manifold to the cyl, which makes sense for it steaming out the intake manifold next is the head when you check your intake gasket you need to drain the coolant anyways, when refilling save the hassle and buy a jug of premix  -
tried on my big boy shoes and then this happened... my steering knuckle failed on me on a hill climb, it was previously cracked (casting was more than oxidized in the break) ejected my front coil as well and half my front drive shaft wasnt located, back to the chopping block, I'm glad it failed on trail, and not on the highway

x2 a good quailty job takes a lot of work, it may look good to the person who quickly does it, but to someone who does it for a living, you can see every shorcut, every bump, wobble ect. that being said, people are scared to use bondo (which some think premium bondo isnt bondo!!! XD ) if used properly it will get rid of all the low spots, but that all depened on how good your body work blocking skills are and if your doing the body work and paint, do not cheap out on sanding blocks, go for the durablock ones, and use a pneumatic pro finishing sander, not some plug in the wall board sander/carpentry sander

no sir, ive currently got the dash ripped appart, its too cold for mice atm
-
dash stopped working, no functioning tach and no illumination new fuses to the inst lps and gauges and notta, multi reader reads nothing in fuse box, where should i look for the power wire/wire's?
-
if the #1 rocker for the exhaust valve is weakly working that will cause a knock, if the valve is not functioning properly then it will not allow the exhaust vapors to expel from the combustion chamber having a pre fire/detonation a bad tappet can cause this, as well as the rocker fastener coming loose, a quick fix for this is to create a shim under the rocker to the lifter, creating zero lash, the exhaust valve will then preform properly that will only eliminate the exhaust valve being the culprit

swaping a bad cluster out of my new truck, putting in my known good from previous both are compatible so thats not the issue, what I'm wondering is if its possibe to pull the speedo out with the cluster and swap to the other one for correct km?
