No. the 2.5 tranny WILL bolt up to your 2.8L. the 2.5 and 2.8 share the same transmissions. :thumbsup: the 4.0 is the one that has a different transmission bolt pattern.

they are WAY stronger than MJ arms and the bushings are both tougher and give a better ride. the only cutting you need to do will not reduce the strength at all. this is the only cut you have to make. the steel insert inside the bushing is just a tad too wide. these are the optional cuts I made in order to get absolute maximum theoretical wheel travel. I didn't have the time to install them uncut first and so I don't have any comparisons for the theoretical "gains". it might be completely negligible. because they touched here up inside the arm pocket on the cab: I also nipped a bit off the axle: but like I said, I wasn't thorough in my testing and don't have any numbers about what might be gained by what I did. they might not have mattered at all. feel free to fill in the gaps if you're up to the extra work. :D

I'd bet the resistor pack is bad. :thumbsup: it's located in the ductwork under the dash on the passenger side right above the passenger's left foot. comes out with an 8mm wrench I think. the reason high speed still works is that that's the full 12 volts. all other settings go through the resistors to drop the voltage and drop the fan speed.

going spring-over can yield 5-6 inches of lift. :thumbsup:

every gas has its own rules and regulations so, no, the shop won't fill an unapproved or inspected tank. don't forget that tanks need to be inspected every few years. I bought mine used from the welding supply shop.

there's a lot of unknowns when buying an old truck. it's probably best to just focus on getting it home in the safest way possible and not have to trust any bit of the truck (bearings, tires, etc.).

try purging the cache in your browser. I've found that weird things happen to me now again and purging makes it all better :D

said goodbye to my 86 a few weeks ago and now the 90 has moved on to a new owner. miss them already, but they cannot come with me to GA. I still have the 88 and there's a rustfree MJ in ga waiting for me, so all hope is not lost.

try typing something in the box and then pasting on it. apparently you cannot right-click just anywhere in the text box, it has to be near text (or the upper left corner). if that doesn't work, try purging your cache.

absolutely. it's stored as a liquid and so there's WAY more volume of gas in there than a compressed air tank can hold. :thumbsup:

our trucks tend to rot from the inside-out so that rust you see on the outside of the bed is probably 100 times worse on the inside of that sheetmetal. :( same with the rockers. and floors. and frames. and doors.
