if it has the 4spd manual, then chances are that the axles will have 3.55 gears. but that's not set in stone since 86 didn't have the same pairing standardizations of 87+.

if they are that rare, I say buy it. :thumbsup: but I also vote for keeping the drivetrain. the 2.5 will give better fuel mileage and has the power to move a 30" tire. plus you can swap a 242 into it if you grab one with the 21 spline input.
