I think he's referring to the ripples you can see in this photo. that's a 3d texture in the glass designed to push the light out to the sides. and it's missing from that same brand's driving light. that's why I was thinking that the reflectors behind the lights might be identical. I think they did that to cheat a little and just use the glass to make it a fog light.

the 3/4 pose is an industry standard shot for showing off your truck. :thumbsup: that's all I was doing in the older photos. the frame is certainly rusty, but I can't find any spot that's rotted. if someone buys the whole truck i guess it'll come with the 5 canyons/mtrs. If anyone wants a rust-free truck, go down south or out west. this one is a good candidate for a winter beater or offroader.

250 is just for the rear axle. I don't really want to part with it, but I'm not as attached to it as I am with the d-44.

It's a blank slate, ready for someone's HO conversion :D there's just a steering column with a speedometer strapped to it. the previous owner had a wire fire, removed it for repair, then decided it was too much hassle and just wired it up to work on his farm. I will genuinely miss driving this truck. I just loved driving around in a super-stripped-down no-frills truck. :D (although admittedly I did get the heater fan to work)

I have the stock 4wd leafs that can go back in it. floor pan still needs finishing. I know. I suck at life.

for the nice ones I'm sure. I just wouldn't hold it past the cheapies to use the same reflector part and bandaid it with the lenses. :D

depends on the manufacturer I guess. they could also have a different reflector. But either way, the difference between them will be blatantly obvious if they ever turn them on. :thumbsup:

in the end, lens color is pretty much irrelevant. you can make them any color you want because yellow is only kinda better for seeing through fog. It's the beam pattern that's important. you need a wide pattern for fog lights, and a narrow pattern for driving lights.

just like any other non-running rig, I can't promise that's all it needs. :dunno: I just know that those were next big things on my to-do list. The big ticket items are all in good shape. there are pics in the build thread, but I can for sure go get some more. :thumbsup:
