  1. be sure to wear goggles while doing that.
  2. I disconnect mine.
  3. this one: http://comancheclub.com/topic/11581-ba105-to-ax15-or-aw4-swap-info/ and if you haven't seen it, we have a spiffy new master index: http://comancheclub.com/topic/48710-diy-projects-writeups-master-search-index/
  4. um, I'm not sure that anything will work right. how would you even plug it in? are the plugs compatible? that's Renix vs OBD2
  5. does the swap thread in the DIY forum mention anything about it?
  6. I saw a picture on facebook not that long ago and it was definitely XJ leaves on an MJ. the shackle pointed forwards and was parallel with the leaves. very bad. ther are a couple manufacturers out there that make stock MJ leaves. also car-part.com might be of help finding them in junkyards. be wary of the used ones and inspect them thoroughly. the leaves have a bad habit of cracking at the bolt.
  7. can you share a picture of the springs you have?
  8. very nice :D but you might want to get yourself a program that clips vids so you don't have 25 seconds of dead air. the general populous is trending towards infinite impatience. sad but true.
  9. my 88 has a huge Borla. very subdued at idle, sounds great when the skinny pedal gets mashed into the carpet. :D
  10. not enough rust. rust is vital for keeping an old Jeep running right.
  11. dang. I'm planning on being out there in late may. missed it by that much. oh well. I'll come visit once you're settled in. . :MJ 1: .
  12. plus fusible links (short wires designed to burn out to protect stuff downstream). there are a few over by the starter relay.
  13. sleep is overrated anyway :D
  14. neat!
  15. definitely needs more stickers. I can still see glass! nice score! especially that bedliner. not a lot of those around.
  16. not that anyone has found yet. between the exactness needed and the insanely huge variety of driveshafts out there, it's the ol' needle in a haystack (made even worse by junkyards that frequently bend the rear shaft when they pick up the truck with a forklift).
  17. there's a thread in the DIY forum with the various factory driveshaft lengths. I got my 2wd shaft shortened.
  18. No, I haven't. What's better about it? Never even heard about it it plugs right in and puts the power through relays instead of through your switch.
  19. well, I gotta push it back a bit. looks like I can do this either April 16th or April 23. how's that work for everyone?
  20. it's a uniframe construction, so you won't be able to buy just a frame. you need a whole truck. or just repair the one you have if you are skilled with a welder.
  21. I would go with 4.5 coils because I can always add in a small spacer if needed. do not use XJ shackles. shackle length is important for proper spring movement.
  22. do you have a picture?
  23. quick question, have you done the harness upgrade yet?
  24. love it! 'tis old school, just like our trucks. :D
