while it is normal to have some of that, his seems a bit excessive to my eye. :dunno: could easily be fixed by drilling a new center pin hole in the leaf pad.
I have a flashlight that puts out 800 lumens with a single led. it's insane the amount of light it emits (more than most cars' headlights) and I'm trying to imagine 100 of them all pointed the same direction.
I was directing that to Jacobs, but any and all pics of the light output are certainly welcome :D soon as I have spendin' money I'm getting LEDs. build quality and light output quality are things that simply cannot be ascertained from the ads alone.
not mine. :D the hinge makes a world of difference. unless you're referring to having to pick up the tire each time, in which case, yes, it can be a pain if your back isn't up to the task.
also, we can't see your photo.
couldn't find a pic so I drew one up. yes, I've got mad MS Paint skillz yo. :D
the red is 2x2 tubing, the dots are holes for hitch pins, the orange is angle brackets on the 3x5 tube bumper, and the hinge point between the 2x2 tubes is a couple plates welded to one of the 2x2s. one pin dropped it to the ground (made for a nice step up to the 6" lifted bronco) and one more pin in the hitch freed it for removal. should be easy to elaborate the upper part with an angle like desert racers have. didn't help the rear departure angle though. :P
my buddy's bronco had a tire carrier that went into the hitch. rattled like a sonuvagun until we attached it to the bumper too. ended up being a good design in the end. one hitch pin dropped it down out of the way and the second removed it from the hitch. I'll see if I can find a picture.
yes, they are clearly offroad only  and in some places they are illegal on the road unless covered.
need pics of the light they throw! did you get narrow beam, wide beam, or a combo bar?
do you mean a new thread? should be able to by clicking the "start new topic" box in the upper right corner of any of the forum pages. unless you mean the classifieds, for which you'll need 10 posts in other areas first.
I looked under, cried, and put the carpet back. It's bad, real bad, and I don't have the skills to fix it.
if it was the only rust, I'd find a way to get it fixed. if the rockers and bedsides are also toast, then...well... :(
Maybe pull one of the over load leafs out and see where it sits?
Unless, you have a buyer for your leafs.
that only works if the overload leafs are providing lift, which they aren't in his photo because they don't touch the leafs above. at best he'd lose the thickness of the spring. :(
dunno. that's someone else's photo that I found online. it wasn't on display at the museum when the comanche club showed up. :(
it is clearly decked out with some of the best goodies though :D
