  1. I bet it's in the DIY thread on bolt sizes. not everything is there yet, but that one should.
  2. The warranty is pretty much a bumper to bumper, $100 deductible warranty. It is for mine and my wife's lifetime and 1,000,000 miles. It cost us an extra $2500 and was worth every penny. It does not kick in until we kill the factory warranty. http://www.jeep.com/en/service-contracts/maximum-care/new-vehicles/index.html I'm pushing for my folks to get that with the Durango they want to buy. Nothing gives piece of mind on an overly complicated modern whip like a never-ending warranty.
  3. that's sexy right there
  4. full droop happens most often on a lift in a shop.
  5. you're always welcome to stop by and chat
  6. minimal gain while having the threat of an inverted shackle binding up after full droop. you need flatter leafs to get less lift.
  7. yes it does. :D possibly my favorite possession.
  8. a spring over gives about 6" of lift.
  9. added some punctuation for you. periods go a long way towards making your thoughts readable. what's the gear ratio in your new axles? what size tires are you looking to run? car-part.com can help with junkyard searches, though the part numbers changed over the years so you'll need to plug in various years and models even though it'll all swap.
  10. that's what we're all here for. helping keep the ol' trucks runnin' :D
  11. it'll be worth more up north in the rust belt.
  12. it'll be far more noticeable with a stick than an auto. I went up to 30s in my 88 (4.0/stick/3.07s) and disliked it. it was definitely driveable (was my dd at the time), but it always felt sluggish, especially off the line. would I have traded back to the tiny tires with which my truck came to me? no. definitely would have kept the 30s :D (but after my dana 35 blew up I went to 3.55s for a bit more kick)
  13. not the first, won't be the last.
  14. well, I can answer the first one, the 4banger got MPFI and OBD1 in 91 just like the 4.0.
  15. check the fuel pump ballast resistor (3" ceramic thingie on the dr side fender with 2 wires going to it). the computer puts full power to the pump for startup and then switches power to run through the resistor for regular driving.
  16. 30" tires probably work out best, but 31s can fit if you stick with OEM style rims.
  17. Going SOA does lift it roughly 6", but you can add or subtract from that with the leafpack. As long as you keep your main leaf you can throw in all sort of flatter leafs. I've always wondered what the lift would be if you cut the eyes off an XJ pack and install them under an MJ main. :hmm: just checking, but did it come out of an MJ?
  18. generic swear censoring software
  19. tempered glass is weakest at the edges.
  20. also added a duplicate to the A/C list in the DIY catalog :D
  21. jack up the rearend on stands, put it in neutral and rotate the tires and driveshaft around to see if the noise is anything obvious.
  22. or grade 8 studs. then they will help with alignment when you put the trans back. :D
