  1. they are roughly the same size. tires that are sold with an inch designation are notorious for being a bit smaller than the number states (aka 30"ers are likely 29.5 on a good day) and the metric tires calculate out to being about 29x9.3".
  2. peruse the Epic tech forum to get ideas of the paths you can take. Be prepared to kiss the rest of your drivetrain and your wallet goodbye. oh, and do not skimp on cooling.
  3. removing a leaf always lowers. I think you're thinking of a block spacer.
  4. why would someone skip an important part? cheapness or ignorance. pics would be helpful so we can see what you're dealing with.

    Merry Christmas

    Merry Christmas! (in 31 minutes)
  6. need more pics!!!!
  7. I can't take credit for this one. must have been Santa
  8. it appears they bypassed the rear prop valve. makes sense considering the disk brakes. front bumpstop is missing and there's a spacer puck inside the bottom of the coils that can be removed once you have a bumpstop again. your leafpacks are... different from each other. not sure what's going on there. almost looks like a couple of individual leafs were installed... backwards? the rear lower shock mounts look to be from the Explorer that donated its 8.8. is that some sort of spacer-bracket fabbed to lower the factory skid plate up front? WJ lower arms have a bend in them and will help with clearancing bigger tires. they are factory MJ length and just need the steel bushings trimmed a bit.
  9. I'm a big fan of Samsung's Active series of phones. I simply cannot be trusted with a fragile device. don't forget the used market when looking for a phone. I've acquired several phones off ebay (for friends and family too).
  10. hard to say. what did they use to lift the truck? it could be anything from just shoving coils under the truck, to a full kit with arms, brakelines and a new track bar.
  11. you might have to be a bit patient this particular weekend. i've never torn a 2.5 down that far so I'm of no great use.
  12. I know, right? proof that we all start at the bottom rung of the knowledge ladder. I learned my lesson and thankfully didn't lose my engine that weekend
  13. when in doubt, search youtube for battery removal instructions. all batteries are removable in some way. I had to buy a special tool (cost maybe $2 on ebay) for my parents' old iphones.
  14. yup, an upgrade is coming.
  15. so you've replaced the block from the junkyard and they are saying it's from a 90 XJ, yes? I guess it's possible that the previous owner of that XJ replaced the block at some point. what are the casting numbers in the block? can you simply remove the threaded bit and replace with your old part?
  16. I don't understand. dd they give you the wrong part?
  17. yup, that is the one risk of deleting the CAD. but it can also be a blessing because there might be something wrong.
  18. I once had a zero-pressure condition caused by a collapsed fram oil filter.

    scam or not...

I looked in my purchased-items folder and the listing shows "This seller is no longer registered on eBay." looks like Ebay figured it out. good for them.

    scam or not...

the tool by itself is normally twice that. with batteries takes it above 300. that's a ton of dough just to skip using the breaker bar. in my research I learned that dewalt makes 5 or 6 different levels of 20v impact wrenches. it's possible they are sending a less powerful one and pretending it was a "mistake". I dunno. I bought through ebay and paid with visa so I'm pretty certain I'll get the money back one way or the other.

    scam or not...

found this on ebay. too good to pass up or too good to be true? ebay has done a good job of standing by buyers against bad sellers, so I went for it. we shall see. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=DEWALT++xr+Impact+-"3%2F8"+-driver+-dcf887b+-DCF894B&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_udlo=80&_sop=15&_udhi=90&LH_BIN=1&LH_TitleDesc=0&rt=nc

does it have to be the 44? Liberty 8.25s are everywhere in the junkyards.
