we have until Dillon gets off work late tonight to suggest changes. tomorrow morning I'll order the flowers and email the images to Nate (Don's soninlaw) who has agreed to print them up for us. everything seems to be coming together. I didn't even notice the cab. that's how it is on our logo decal (which this new image is based on and which I've stared at like a million times while weeding the decals) and I see that they are even on the magnet and business cards (which are an older version and closer to my original drawings). interesting.

current version. turns out that chrome doesn't work well on a jpeg image of a silver truck and so the shiny items are black instead. I'm dropping the .com for this purpose, but it'll return for the official sticker. I'm open to tweaks to make it even better.

we could also use digital words like we've all shared and compile them into printable form for the meantime.

had the thought that maybe the funeral home could print them up for me and stick them in the arrangement, but that'll have to wait til morning as they are closed.

Rodney's can do the vase and the arrangement if I order by noon tomorrow, but they only have a b+w printer and nothing but regular paper to print an image on. what the flying hell. do I have to drive 8 hours just to get this right?

we are back in business! through a series of phone calls I've tracked down Rodney's that also has that chome vase! now to call them...

dammit. seems that shop is closed for the weekend because of a death in the family. they seem to be the only florist in Arab with a website.

I like the idea, but that would take months and so we can tackle it at a later date.

the funeral home has a huge online store with lots of big ugly arrangements. I hate them all. But I found a local florist that has an arrangement that comes in a chrome vase. I'm giving them a call.

I love it! there's no hurry if you want to chip in. this will all be done with a credit card.

I've redone the brakelines on 2 MJs now (one with all pre-made lines, one where I made my own). you don't have to route it exactly like stock. it just has to be safe and out of the way of future work. given any though to the dual booster mod? now might be a good time if you're re-doing the lines.

maaaaaaannnnn, you guys are spoiled with this here internet thing. 20 years ago I was using a tiny flashlight that recharged in the cig lighter because my interior lights worked, they just royally sucked and I really didn't think I had any options.

It's looking less and less like I can make it to the funeral so at the very least we can send flowers from the club. so far the ideas are a silver and red colored arrangement (for the colors of his truck) and I'm going to try and find a shop that can take my jpgs and print them out so the card will have our logo with his truck and maybe a few "Comanche" emblem-looking paper reproductions if I can't be there to insert real ones. if you have any other ideas, post them soon. I'll be calling floral shops after lunch. um... I used MS Paint to crop the image? that's about as far as my 'puter skills go with image software.

my buddy has a ZX4 as a backup car. it's been quite reliable over the last ~8 years. and I can tell ya that if you let the muffler rust out, it almost sounds kinda good (I borrow it when I fly to michigan)
