  1. My 1986 MJ has been a long project. Satin black chrome international bumpers front & rear, chrome side mirrors likely to go away...has SBC 305 with 700r4 trans. Never seems to be done, building it as a rat rod... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. This looks good, great to folks keeping these trucks alive... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Drivers side rear cab corner looks like mine did. I got it close and my Dad (retired autonomy specialist) finished it up for me... Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk
  4. Indeed... Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk
  5. I echo this advise. The rear pin can be a challenge to get lined up. Ask us how we know... Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk
  6. Connectors should be there, I think... Sent from my LM-Q710(FGN) using Tapatalk
  7. Finally got my driveshaft in after SBC 700r4 2wd swap. Measured driveshaft angle at 3 degrees (truck has been lowered about 2 inches)...need to know if this is okay. By my eye angle difference at transmission looks good and better at the diff... Sent from my LM-Q710(FGN) using Tapatalk
  8. Not sure what we're working on but I believe 100 psi on compression is minimum. Did you block off everything attached to the intake? PCV? Other vacuum hoses? Sent from my LG-M210 using Tapatalk
  9. I'm sorry I missed this. I haven't been on here in awhile. I've been focusing on my own MJ project. Would like to hear where you are with yours. I got my kit from Chuck Manis Performance in Ocala, Fl..I'm glad you decided to keep it.... Sent from my LG-M210 using Tapatalk
  10. Thanks buddy.. Sent from my LG-M210 using Tapatalk
  11. I did this in my WJ. I got this from a guy that overheated his. Radiator cracked and he drove it till it quit. I bought it for $400. Went to a UPullit and found a wrecked WJ hit very hard in the rear (hmmm, that means it was running when it got hit...) My job was easy. Transmission was broken so bellhousing bolts were easy to get to. Lots of stuff already gone up top. $350 minus the core return I'm only in for $650 total. Took it home did a complete reseal for $100. Its running for less than a grand. Its been very dependable for 3 years now...good luck Sent from my LG-M210 using Tapatalk
  12. In my opinion the options are a low mileage 4.0 and reseal it before you put it in then crack the one you have now and see what would be needed to do a complete rebuild on that. Look to Titan engines for a kit. I got mine for around $375 included pistons and cam and lifters...Chuck Manis Performance is also a good source... Sent from my LG-M210 using Tapatalk
  13. Flaher behind drivers kick panel...original color is white I think...backup lites check the switch at the transmission I think.. Sent from my LG-M210 using Tapatalk
  14. Searching for a ujoint to mate my 700r4 27 spline slip yoke to my 86 2wd LWB MJ driveshaft. The MJ had a 904 transmission in it. Drivetrain expert I spoke to needs to know what series ujoint was in this truck so he knows what I need.,. Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk
  15. Good stuff, if y'all hadn't seen them in action Scanner Danner on YouTube made video a while back. Check it out... Sent from my SM-T560NU using Tapatalk
