I think I may have found the proper files. also, he charges per die, so it looks like I can get an assortment of colors for the same price since they are all essentially the same image to cut out.

those are all old tiny images. I still need to find the fullsize originals. there isn't a small flag on the american one. also I made a canadian flag truck.

found a guy that says he can laminate the stickers to give a 5 year sun rating. the old ones had maybe a year or 2 which is why I stopped offering them. the question is will anyone want them. these ones:

aluminum may not rust, but salt-belt guys will tell you that it still corrodes. it gets under the protective clearcoat and goes to town on it. eventually it'll get to the bead area and cause slow leaks. But, just like with steel, you can easily slow the progress with washing. thorough washing. be sure to get under that center cap. that's usually where it starts I'm insanely curious to see what will happen to the aluminum bodied trucks in a few years. salt kills all.

that's a pretty narrow bolt pattern for the trans. sure it's not a peugeot? I'll hunt some more and see if I can't find a more definitive pic.

a picture might help yeah, 86s aren't unicorns, they are a mix of the old XJs (84-85) and the new tech coming up (like fuel injection). makes them a bit quirky.

yes. the higher the backspace number, the more the tire tucks in under the flares. the lower the number, the more they stick out (and the bigger the scrub radius and the more the touch the flares when turning) if you pull one off, you can measure and know for sure.

on a related note, I'm trying to figure out when I can get back out to Colorado to visit Katie (Jim's wife). she could use a hand tearing down and removing a couple of old campers/sheds that are still on property. I was thinking if we got enough helpers we could be done in a day (the "hauling it away" part is probably the bottleneck). then maybe a trail ride the next day! I dunno. Colorado is a loooooooong drive, so it's hard to make it happen. but it's still winter, so it's a worry for another day. :)
