I miss Moab. it sure was a lot of fun the 4.0 does a great job of powering normal Jeeps on normal tires through normal offroading. but yes, torque is king and modern v8s have more.

I understand now. there is a guy in the classifieds Vendors section that makes brand new MJ headliners. maybe he'd be willing to ship you one.

lots of people say that because who really wants to deal with shipping? But if no one buys it and you offer a bit more to sweeten the deal, lots of things become possible.

but in the CC wanted ad he said "probably not worth shipping" which is way different than "I'm not shipping anything". remember, cash talks. I'd do it, but I'm too-many-hours away from there.

if your plastic is in good shape, it might be easier for you to paint it the color you want. there should be a writeup on that in the link in my signature. and if your ceiling is intact, it is definitely a better idea to repair it than try and fit a cherokee ceiling in there (the back side by the rear window is very different).

and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the MJ was the only small 4wd truck with both a solid front axle and a fuel injected 6cyl at the same time.

according to wikipedia: the 4.3l in the 87-92 S-10 made 160hp the 3.9l in the 87-91 dakota made 125hp (ouch!) the Shelby dakota had the 5.2l v8 (89 only) and made 175hp so it had a definite advantage when it came out, but at the end of the MJ's run it was being (or about to be) outclassed by the next gen of engines. edit: the Syclone was in a league of its own with 280hp

31s on a stock height 4wd MJ (with WJ arms) still bummed I sold that truck when I moved.

Been trying to put together a meetup in Pueblo, but I'm stuck in Georgia until my dad's health improves. He's on the mend though, so hoping for late summer.
