  1. I understand now. there is a guy in the classifieds Vendors section that makes brand new MJ headliners. maybe he'd be willing to ship you one.
  2. lots of people say that because who really wants to deal with shipping? But if no one buys it and you offer a bit more to sweeten the deal, lots of things become possible.
  3. but in the CC wanted ad he said "probably not worth shipping" which is way different than "I'm not shipping anything". remember, cash talks. I'd do it, but I'm too-many-hours away from there.
  4. I assume that means the seller is unwilling to ship?
  5. you should do a DIY writeup on all that.
  6. I am definitely getting window louvers for my new truck
  7. if your plastic is in good shape, it might be easier for you to paint it the color you want. there should be a writeup on that in the link in my signature. and if your ceiling is intact, it is definitely a better idea to repair it than try and fit a cherokee ceiling in there (the back side by the rear window is very different).
  8. and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the MJ was the only small 4wd truck with both a solid front axle and a fuel injected 6cyl at the same time.
  9. according to wikipedia: the 4.3l in the 87-92 S-10 made 160hp the 3.9l in the 87-91 dakota made 125hp (ouch!) the Shelby dakota had the 5.2l v8 (89 only) and made 175hp so it had a definite advantage when it came out, but at the end of the MJ's run it was being (or about to be) outclassed by the next gen of engines. edit: the Syclone was in a league of its own with 280hp
  10. 31s on a stock height 4wd MJ (with WJ arms) still bummed I sold that truck when I moved.
  11. Been trying to put together a meetup in Pueblo, but I'm stuck in Georgia until my dad's health improves. He's on the mend though, so hoping for late summer.
  12. yeah, I really like the look of the 2dr. I'm not getting my hopes up though.
  13. lemme see a shot of the carpets pulled back
  14. I don't know for sure but I kinda doubt they are the same part number (88 ba10 vs 90 ax-15), but I retained my peugeot flywheel and clutch with my 2000 AX-15 swap.
  15. good stuff! no love for the flares?
  16. does yours need to be factory? there are way better ones in the junkyards on other trucks.
  17. 1: it's complicated and much of the detail is lost to time. (basically MJ sales numbers were slipping plus the XJ was profitable and popular meaning each MJ made was a loss of the profit that the spot on the assembly line could have brought if it contained an XJ) 2: it's complicated and everything is a guess. careful about that list of production numbers, as it shows 1985 and so is likely a list of calendar year numbers rather than model year numbers. Meaning that more than 952 1992 MJs were made because some were made in 1991. edit: found the other list of numbers:
  18. the multimeter will do way more, but I love the test light for probing since it's a one-hand operation.
  19. do you have a self-ranging multimeter and test light?
  20. because of the wild variation in spring sag in old leafs, there's no exact plan for that, but you can use any SUA truck from the junkyard that has the same width leafs (2.5"?) and mix and match 'til you find what you want. Dakotas, S-10s and F-150s come to mind.
