usually I'm a big proponent for keeping things original, but with that much rust repair, it's not really original anymore. don't forget that you don't have to do the 97 front fascia in order to swap in the 97+ engine and interior. these things are like legos. you can build them however you want

fixed it for ya. it's not hard people. I tweaked the lights on my rented truck (sagging pretty bad due to the 3 axles back there). it really is that easy.

"I think" is not the same as "I know". there are only a few things needed to get spark. one of them has failed. any parts store will have that spark checker. possibly even walmart.

I've got no way of knowing if you held them close enough to get the spark to jump. did you test the CPS resistance?

not that it's ever bad a bad thing to do a basic tune up, but before you fire the parts cannon, check for spark coming out of the coil. do you have an inline spark tester?
