  1. Yeah, just the key parts 84-01 pans, had to buy the 2 piece for the passenger side cause of lead time issues. I dry fit the Cherokee seats, and they seem a bit high. The bench seat seemed hight too. I'm thinking about cutting the seat brackets down an inch or so. I'm only 6'1", but feel like am staring at the top of the windshield.
  2. I'm also putting the center console from a Cherokee in there, and the trans tunnel isnt exactly factory as seen below, so close is probably good enough.
  3. I am putting 1997 Cherokee seats in my 1989 Comanche. I bought the new seat brackets to weld in over the new floor pans. The question is, will the newer Cherokee carpet fit well in a Comanche? I have a 1998 Cherokee, and they look close enough to me. I called Stock Interiors in South Carolina, and they said they are a bit different. Just trying to make sure I don't waste $200. I know it will require cutting and trimming. I'm more interested in the trans tunnel and firewall areas.
  4. My son broke down in his Subaru in Texarkana and is heading to San Antonio. Since I can't access the classified section yet, anybody got something he can drive back to Kentucky?
  5. How did this get into that topic?
  6. My son just broke down in his Subaru in Texarkana and is heading towards San Antonio. Anybody got something that will make it back to Kentucky?
  7. I got donor seats from a 4 door xj, and donor seats from a 2 door xj, with different problems. Had to put the 2 door system in the 4 door seats. Also had to swap the brackets and seat frame on the one cause it was crunched in an accident. After some steam vac, should be good.
  8. The foam is saturated, but I had fresh stuff dripping after a hard rain. I was thinking about pulling that foam pad out since I'm putting that sound deadener in it. Probably be easier to spot the leak with it out.
  9. Working on the floor pans, and I have this leak coming from under the dash. Can someone tell me where it's coming from? Is there a traditional spot for this leak?
  10. Since I have to cut all the floor out of the MJ, and I have 2 sets of seats with the newer mounting style, can I just weld these brackets in and use the new style seats? Seems like the additional reinforcement on the 89 MJ is not really necessary. If so, I could tie the unibody rails together with some 11 gage, and call it good.
  11. Thanks for the input. Hopefully the seats will work out ok. I guess I have a bit of fabrication to do anyway, what's a bit more😁

  13. I watched that video, and I like cheap, and the cheap ones are a bit bigger. The black ones are good looking, and may fit a bit better, but 2x price... Will the seats from a 1998 and up 2 door Cherokee fit in the Comanche? Since my floor pans are shot, I can weld in Seat brackets mounting studs/reinforcement wherever I want.
  14. Thanks, I'll check that out, I don't get on these boards too much, but I figured the MJ was just different enough that I should ask some questions.
  15. Got my first MJ. I've worked on a couple on the past, quite familiar with XJ's, but really wanted a truck, and didn't want to spend $40k on a Tacoma. I've done Cherokee floor boards, but I didn't buy anything fancy, just cut sheet, and formed and welded it in. Turned out great, but if I were to buy aftermarket "floorplans", is it worth it? Or do most of them suck and don't fit well?
