  1. part of that is likely due to the mid 60s being a complete game changer when it comes to performance cars and thus the early mustang would be revered as such (especially since the HP dropped so substantially in the 80s). a 2001 mustang was simply not a game changer in any way. fun fact, they made about as many 1969 Mustangs as all of the MJs put together.
  2. that's a fantastic engine for an old chevy truck
  3. I would also guess 3.55s. the lack of overdrive is a gear ratio killer.
  4. oooo, maybe that extra bracket is what's messing with me...
  5. have you replaced the back-of-the-hood seal yet?
  6. not only are long and short different, some years mounted to the frame, other mounted to both the frame and bed. I wish I had taken better notes as I pulled all these beds. you'll want to crawl under and snap pics to help buy the correct one.
  7. it's very important to have extra wire in the box. wish I was closer and could help wrap that up and get your place lit!
  8. best part about the natural patina is the price.
  9. can you snap a photo of the transmission?
  10. wouldn't the price difference simply be because J-10s are... older? regardless, it's good to see MJs getting some attention from non-addicts
  11. they can absolutely all go into a single thread.

where has this been my whole life!! compound cutters for the win! more cutting force means less effort to cut the normal things.
  13. love it! any updates to the interior?
  14. the shock mount is indeed different left to right (mirror image). the brace that goes under it is the same on each side. fun fact, the left and right mounts switch sides from longbed to short bed. (longbed shocks are in front of the axle, shortbeds are behind)
  15. that might freak people out. I love it
  16. dunno, I hadn't really thought about double checking the previous owner's methods. maybe someday when I'm bored I'll see about that. maybe I can pop it out and affix it to the dash of the Liberty (pretty sure I'd exceed the boost though, so I'm not going to ever actually hook it up) I appreciate the offer, but the pin is damaged and a needle won't go on (already tried). my plan is to swap out the speedo for a US one after I fix up all my renix clusters and see what's left over.
  17. supposedly the boost gauge doesn't work, but it still looks pretty snazzy on the shelf o' Jeep.
  18. I like it.
  19. just the alternator bracket?
  20. do they have a website that lists the prices? most all of the self serve yards near me have gone that route.
  21. I was successful. even with the Jeep crushed in that corner the aluminum bracket was not cracked.
  22. I think he's talking about buying "pass side" panels for the drivers side of shortbed trucks. it would have more coverage area since that cutout for the fuel door isn't needed.
  23. you might need to contact Key Parts about that, as none of us have gotten our hands on them yet.
