  1. for the shiny bits I would start with just toothpaste and a toothbrush and see what happens. I wouldn't get more aggressive with the poish until that fails.
  2. so barring anything actually broken with what ya got: torque is found below ~2500, HP is found above. that's just how our engines work. if you wanna go fast, gotta rev it. but my advice is to slow down rather than throwing money at more HP. contrary to what you might see on the freeways in Atlanta, driving on public roads is not a race. There's no winning. no trophy. just a never-ending roll of the dice to see if today is the day that someone staring at their phone messes up your truck. brakes are where I'd invest my cash. and a bigger swaybar. maybe a rear swaybar too. whatever helps me dodge the idiots better. try swapping the coils left to right. it might not be the springs doing the lean. but either way, RE does sell a decent product. another option is simply shoving an extra spring isolator on the low side.
  3. because it's the best commuter ever. if I remember right, 2008 is the first year for the fully fold-in-the-floor seating.
  4. chrysler minivan. you sit up high and can see over cars in traffic, and it's literally the most useful thing ever.

found rotting in the back of a a NC junkyard.
  6. dragged home #27 and #28 last night. one is half wrecked, the other is also a bit rough. seeing as no one is buying my beds that are in decent shape, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with these. beside store them. maybe I'll look into doing that stonehenge wall after all.
  7. is there any 12v power at the light?

  9. the peugeot was tougher than the 4 banger's ax5 for sure.
  10. far as I can tell the "wide" refers to the current Jeep dana 35 in the fat Wranglers. pretty much a whole different animal just with the same name.
  11. is it a true TX bed?
  12. I've now edited out the common reused codes for you. the codes are still correct, but some of the descriptions have been altered/deleted because they were reused over the years and thus overwritten. in time we hope to rebuild the data base. but in the meantime I'm afraid you don't have a powdercoated bumper or rack-n-pinion steering.
  13. just keeps getting better and better
  14. the MJ addiction is real
  15. it most definitely came from somewhere.
  16. it's easy. which title would you prefer to keep?
  17. does "lengthened" mean a whole new shaft body? if so, I'd probably do that. but if you've got the cash, the SYE is a good strength upgrade.
  18. I'm opening up the delivery area east to Pennsylvania.
  19. @Minuit if your car ever needs a just bit more power...
  20. talk to a body shop. talking is free. I'm not a body man, so I can't tell you how it all works. the corner is not a usual rot-out area, so maybe it's cheaper to weld in a new upper corner?
  21. ooooo, I bet that thing is a blast in the sand!
  22. absolutely. now, I don't know what that all would cost out of pocket, but I do know that if the steel it there, it can be reshaped. if it turns out to be an outrageous price, I have a few beds for sale in the classifieds.
  23. talk to a body shop. they can work miracles to pull that back out into shape.
  24. grab yourself a hatchet and go get some breakfast!
