3 of my longbeds on hand have them (2 are known 86s). 2 don't (one is for sure an 88). none of the shorties have them.

I've seen worse repaired. KeyParts has inner and outer rockers available. cab corners aren't quite ready yet.

just remembered that Gjeep did a writeup on his, how about adding your experience to his?

a trick I've used for finding the tougher leaks is to sprinkle some powder (baby, flour, etc) around in the suspect area. the water will make tracks in it and lead back towards the source. any al all openings are considered suspect and need to be inspected. windshield, rear window, heatercore, any hole in the firewall, doors, etc. I once had a windshield leak that was in an upper corner and trickled down inside of the a-piller and then dumped onto the floor at the bottom by the ebrake. if I still had a-pillar trim in that truck I might never have spotted it.

both hazards and the turns work as they should... riiiiight up until you turn on the headlights too and then the turns/hazards just stay on with no blinking. I'm pretty sure it's a ground issue, I just gotta find time/energy to really dig in. this kitchen remodel I'm doing for a friend is sucking the life outta me.

front turn sockets replaced and the turns all work, hazards work, parking lights work, BUT if you have the parking lights on the Hazz/Turns go solid. soooo.... progress? tried adding an additional ground from batt to dash, but no change (it fixed several things in my 88 back in the day) next up I'm going to pull the batt cables so I can go get new ones. the old are pretty nasty and I want them gone before I dig any deeper.
