  1. the 89/90 computer will give an 87-88 a few more horsepower. other than that, do make sure that all your sensors and fuel system are in perfect working order. and complete all of Cruiser54's MJ tips (the link is in the link in my signature).
  2. yes best RV ever!
  3. I kinda knew that was in the works. no pics yet of the finished product. https://ogrshop.com/products/street-comanche-body-kit
  4. I can't see any of your photos.
  5. I think I'll go with my standard reply of "just because it's a goo deal, doesn't mean it's necessarily a good idea. the ACC carpets/vinyls are "pre-formed" and can be a bear to get to actually conform to the floor. I can't imagine trying something that's flat and that thick. would make for good floormats though.
  6. it sounds like it's all worn out, but I'm no expert on the key cylinders.
  7. well, we're up to date now. no button has appeared. so much for the easy way. guess you guys are still stuck actually typing words for now until I come up with a new plan.
  8. grab a sawzall and cut off the bumper and anything else in the way. all the wrecked stuff is junk anyway.
  9. that front crossmember is easy to replace. I don't see any wrinkles in the frame horns but you'll need to pull of the bumper to get a better view. all in all I think the patient will pull through.
  10. I'm guessing crack in the head right at the threads?
  11. they said they will be available for purchase very, very soon. I did not see a price listed.
  12. pics will help. otherwise we're just guessing. but yes, it's entirely possible to drill out spots and replace pieces of the front frame for repair.
  13. sure. but getting to the CPS and top bellhousing bolts is a real pain so I drop the trans crossmember first to rotate the assembly down and give access, then lift it back up and bolt it in place and carry on with the engine stuff.
  14. interesting. any adapter harnesses left out there in dealershipland?
  15. sorta on this subject, does the 97+ motor/gear/linkage assembly work in the older Jeeps? I know the arms swap, but how far down the rodent hole does the swap-ability go?
  16. new aftermarket XJ belts are available and are close enough to work on MJs.
  17. if you want factory looking parts, KeyParts is making new lenses now (you can find them on ebay) and Dzimm is printing new housings (you can see his post in the Vendors part of the Classifieds)
  18. con: the valve likes to freeze up if run for too long. ("too long" varies depending on outside temps) stupid physics! pro: having 100psi with gobs and gobs of cfm is just awesome
  19. lol. excellent use for a toilet flange.
  20. starting in 'neutral' but not 'park' usually means it's time to clean the NSS.
  21. there might be a thread about it in the link in my signature down in Systems Conversions
  22. oh! guess I made an assumption when I heard rumors of the Liberty coming back and the Wagoneer name being used (as opposed to the already used Grand Wagoneer). that's a lot of Jeep models at the same time. eeeeenteresting...
