nice! I would contemplate some 1.5" spacers for the rears. something about the 7" steel rims seems to make the MJ's wide butt more obvious to my eyes.

wheel bolt pattern and overall tire size are the limiting factors you're going to run into. the 17/18" measurement itself isn't a hindrance.

truth. we put lights in the barn (8' ceilings) every 3rd joist and I still want more. (unfortunately it was done juuuuust before LED shop lights exploded on the market and so they are merely next-gen florescents.) I'm thinking on slapping a bunch of tape LEDs along the rest of the joists.

did you test any of the items or just replace them?

only the AX-15 has a different crossmember. all others use the same one. XJ and MJ shifter assemblies are the same. TJ and YJ transmissions will clock the t-case up a bit. pull the electric parts out of the t-case and insert the mechanical bits. far as I know all AX-15s use the same clutch.

manual trans? I ask because fluid leaking down from the master cylinder and getting into the fuse box can cause weird things to happen.

I'd assume that they are wired with resistors so as to be compatible with the regular blinker pot, but haven't heard anything concrete yet. I'm very sure that some custom wiring is necessary.

MJ and XJ rear wheelwells are different and so the flares are also different.

if you can see the white underneath, it's sun damage to the plastic itself.

headlight adhesive is what I've seen most recommended. shouldn't need anything done after that.

What size tires do you have?

LBs are overall a foot longer than SBs and that's divided into 6" longer in front of the rear axle and 6" longer behind it. note how fullsize trucks do not have the same equal split when going from SB to LB. they put the entirety of the extra bed in front of the rear axle. honestly I don't think either distance will matter more than the fact that you're towing with a 30+ year old tiny soup can. meaning both wheelbases are equally good-ish.

technically a shortbed might be better for towing since the pivot point of the ball will be 6" closer to the rear axle.
