    kits don't usually include the drop pitman because it's unnecessary up to 6". and if you do do it, it needs to be done alongside a matching drop trackbar bracket or else bumpsteer comes into play.

    don't fear the high octane. it really isn't that much more money when you take into account the number of miles you'll be putting on it.

    armor is more important than lift so make sure that's in the budget too. my observations with lift "kits" is that they are rarely complete, or they skip corners and throw in the cheaper items.

    for maximum "look at me!!" someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm inclined to guess that none of those physical changes actually increased the official tow rating by even 1 pound because the VIN number never changed.

    even a race car that's worried about every single pound has a heavy rollbar inside. it's all about removing weight from the places you can. or not. I just added more and more to my truck. the most thought I gave to weight-savings was I used 3/16" tube for the bumpers rather than 1/4".

    you can start streaming before you cut the cord. that way you know exactly what you're in for, but still have your regular stuff available.

    they were stock export models. every 94-96 era right hand drive mail XJ I've seen was roughly the same. note the European yellow markers above the front fenders.

    sweet! yeah, bondo and rust aren't all that great at being structural. I had to do the same for my MJ and avoid any touching of the rockers.

    you're never going to get an accurate number from a dealership. just gotta compare against other trucks for sale.

    when that happened to me it was because the water pump bearings had eaten themselves and that pulley was wobbly.
