  1. oooooooo! doesn't help me since I was replacing the dash anyways, but we'll need to add that link to the DIY forum (unless it's already in there and my brain just sucks ) so others know it's a possibility.

    Opinions?

lots of variables going on here. what's the tire size? bolt pattern? what's the backspacing? 10" wide is a heck of a width. got the lift and axles and gears to support them? just because it's a good deal, doesn't mean it's a good idea.
  3. the stock posi is a clutch based unit and after it wears out, it will do the same. but they are kinda rare so it's probably just open.
  4. If I had the choice between the 2, I'd prefer an LS for all the modernity it brings.
  5. looks like a Fey Westin aftermarket bumper.
  6. oh, just remembered I got my "SUV" box from Lowes many moons ago. it's too tall for you, but I seem to remember they had a smaller version. super heavy duty for a plastic box.
  7. Pelican makes some darn good boxes. pretty sure Lowes would carry some big metal truck boxes that sit below the bedrails. I know they have some "heavy duty" plastic tubs if you want something more affordable.
  8. quick and dirty way is to jack up one rear tire, put the trans or t-case in neutral, and rotate the tire around exactly twice while counting the times the driveshaft rotates. 3 and a half is 3.55, just over 4 is 4.10, etc. if it has a posi, you need to jack up both tires and rotate them just once.
  9. 'tired' meaning it's low on power,? or 'tired' meaning the compression numbers are down?

    Hagerty article

yup. prices have gone up. the reason question is do they stabilize or continue up?
  11. @Underpowered_Manche definitely check the fluid level.
  12. rewiring (and rerouting) would go a long way towards cleaning it up. same with vacuum lines. if you're going to replace them, may as well route them better.
  13. I might need to swing by for a visit and help wrench
  14. stay up late. doesn't matter what time it is, when I wake up, it's early. lol factory rollbar or factory winch bumper?
  15. there's not really anything in the engine bay that's "extra" and can go away. certainly not anything that you'll notice missing afterwards. it's a ridiculously designed system, but it's also pretty bare minimum. I guess you could get some split wireloom and gather loose things together so it looks nicer.
  16. external slave is always a good upgrade.
  17. past owner is trying to locate his old ride. for being a 92 eliminator 4x4, you'd think I'd recognize it, but I don't. considering what it is, I guess the new owner might be storing it away.

  19. excellent now drop it and supercharge it.
  20. expected to hit the mid 20s tonight. the fire is already rockin'
  21. I have 4.10s now and I kinda want 4.88s for my 33s.
  22. what gear ratio will you running with those 33s?
  23. what kind of cover? snap cover? full lift? 1/3rd lift?
  24. did you grab the inner door brace with them? (#5 in that diagram)
