  1. yup. rust sucks. wait, is that damage from tire rubbing? if the flares are ruined, it might not be worth trying to retrieve them.
  2. the longer you let the engine sit before tackling this, the less oil will drip on your face while you're trying to work. I prefer at least a day. scraping off the old pan gasket sucks. I used a straight razor blade for the bulk of it, then an sos style pad for the rest. buy 2 seals so you have a backup on hand if anything goes wrong. return if unused. you need some separation between the body and front axle to get the pan out. either a lift kit installed, or jack up the body. you'll want a brass punch to push the upper half of the seal started. then pliers to pull it down and out I prefer to let the silicone stuff cure overnight before starting up the engine. I imagine there are a few youtube vids covering it
  3. those studs like to snap even if the truck is rust free. I find it faster to just tighten them. it snaps off quicker.
  4. belt chirping? that might not show up with a stethoscope. another method is a 3' length of tube. put one end up to your ear and probe around with the other. don't let it touch anything though.
  5. the front crossmember is a piece of tin and barely does anything anyways. I don't really see any damage to the frame horns. looks like the crossmember just tore. what's the measurement between the frame rails? I'd be tempted to just bolt another bumper on and drive.
  6. the louder it is, the closer you are. generally speaking.
  7. can't be that many yellow MJs out there.
  8. yup! just don't let the pump run dry. when you say "as shown" are you attempting to upload a photo?
  9. build threads need more photos.
  10. dang. I want a haunted MJ be sure to add it to the imcdb if it's not there yet.

    Help

location matters. also, after 10 total posts the classifieds will open up to you.
  12. dang, they have 32 win special! I like asking at gun stores just to see if they even know what it even is. 4 bucks a shot though.
  13. short answer, yes. (given the correct era harness) I moved your question into tech so more eyes will see it.
  14. I've heard of rentable workshops, but they aren't a place to store your stuff, just a place to work on projects. the next day someone else would be there working on their stuff.
  15. there's no easy way to pull off the box by yourself unless you have an engine hoist on wheels that can lift from the middle using straps to the 4 tiedown points. I've tried and it causes damage. but I've pulled many beds with just 2 people.
  16. nice! is it haunted at all?
  17. happy crossing of the arbitrary point in earth's orbit around its nearest star! here's to another satisfactory 365 day/night cycles with minimum inconveniences and maximum serotonin episodes so we can all do it again!
  18. I'm a big fan of patina so it's a good looking truck for sure. what year is it?
  19. a restoration shop is definitely a step up for a regular collision shop.
  20. cool and minty. I fixed your photo for ya.
  21. draw an angry, disapproving face on the boxes. we've all been there. not much fun in replacing a part. much more fun to create something.
  22. don't know. the guy was asking about replacing the head but hadn't actually pulled the head yet. if I remember right, he said this has happened to the spark plug more than once.
  23. no one knows yet. well, at least one guy knows. lol. but I haven't heard yet. my guess is it is just the front and side skirts.
  24. that's not enough accident to take it off the road. (those wheels on the other hand...)
