the dana 30 is worth building. the 35 is the problem child here and is not worth the investment. but there are plenty of better junkyard axles to put in its place like the XJ 44, 97+ XJ 8.25, KJ 8.25, and explorer 8.8.

I hated 3.07s with 30" tires. wasn't as fun to drive anymore (and the truck was only 10years old at the time). same truck/engine a couple years later (with a 4wd conversion) and I had 4.10s with 33s and dreamt of the day I could get 4.56 or 4.88. your mileage may vary. (but having said that, your mpgs will suck and you'll have a good chance of burning out the clutch prematurely) something I was told by an old-timer many moons ago: half-assing something won't make it turn out half-good, it'll just be all bad. my suggestion is save your monies, be patient, and do it right all at once. I mean, it's not like the truck will look bad on 31s. it's an MJ after all. it'll still get all the looks.

picked up a kitchen today. well, the cabinets at least.

very few things I have are not for sale. it's just that selling stuff is not much of a priority to me so I don't advertise. well, that, plus digging parts out, taking a bunch of pics, and then dealing with the general public who doesn't seem to understand what gas costs and that I paid for these parts to begin with is really a pain in the butt. I was thinking of getting a booth at a Jeep show next year and see how that goes.

ok, change of plans. since I'd probably be moving my folks into something better anyways, I'll skip anything with the sub behind them and start buying up more and more land so it can't be turned into subs. more public parks = better.

that flat grey plug in the first pic should be connected to the flat black plug near it. that's your wiper circuit. if you have intermittent wipers, there's a small black box that goes between them.

fetched me some farwud today the lady at the place actually recognized the trailer as coming from a Comanche. says her mom had a whole one back in the day.

it took me multiple attempts to get the RMS/oil pan gasket leak free.

that one is extra funny since all KJs get a free hitch due to the recall.
