does/should the conversion kit include the o-rings found at that aluminum junction brick by the firewall? they didn't all survive disassembly when I pulled the hvac box.

writers have been saying that ever since that one concept truck came out in, what, 2016? at this point I'll believe it when I see a new concept. or at least an official statement by chrysler.

if you currently have one that's not a pretzel, a body shop can repair it.

was prepping for pulling the hvac and found these gems. not sure if I want to laugh or cry. don't know what they do yet. I'll deal with that once the interior is finished.

there are several vids on youtube. if they don't pop up for dash removal, look for ones involving heater core replacement.

it's more likely a bit of both, but mostly the MJ wasn't selling well at the end. the XJ was selling like hotcakes and every MJ on that assembly line represented a loss of potential profit that an XJ in that spot would have provided. dwindling sales numbers, eating a profitable spot on the line, and the dakota already existed (and had an extended cab variant) all worked together to kill off the MJ. if it was purely the dakota, chrysler would likely have dropped the MJ in 1990 before spending money on the re-do. in their defense, they gave it a shot. it simply failed to sell. maybe we can call it the start of the end of the regular cab truck?

it's only original once. it has yet to be seen how much that really affects the price vs a clean but modified truck.

I bought a whole truck to get my 21 slot. well, it wasn't whole per se, rather an empty shell of a truck. but still. I bought a truck! I've literally never seen one in a junkyard.
