  1. holy crap, I was starting to think everyone I know in s/e michigan had left for the weekend. :dunno: Got a hold of my aunt though, and hopefully she'll get my phone and tags in the mail today. :clapping:
  2. if I could, I would. but there's no box to check for making it required. :(
  3. Is it a rattling noise? more of a bolts-in-a-soup-can noise?
  4. :agree: OEM 195* Make sure you fully bleed the air pocket that tends to form at the rear of the engine.
  5. If you're going to start a new thread, you may want to recap what you've done so far.
  6. minor headache. seems I left more than my cellphone at home. I also left my plate tag for the dakota. Looks like I'll be calling my neighbor (from someone else's phone) in the morning and having them overnighted. :wall: In the meantime, tomorrow I'll be mounting the tires up and installing the working radio. :D
  7. I've met me. I'm not all that interesting. :dunno: :teehee: Finally here in GA. Longest drive EVER! 15.5 hours!! Best time ever was 11.5. traffic sucked the whole way. :(
  8. 3/16" flush mounted in the bumper as they did is not what I would consider "weak". :D you won't ever break it.
  9. rust sucks. :(
  10. I don't have a box. :(
  11. And yet my 88 4.0/3.07 sucked in a major way when I went to ginormous 30" tires. :( 3.55s fixed it right up. :D
  12. no way to know for sure. ya gotta check for an limited slip diff.
  13. I had to go beyond dad for this one (he's unemployed too). I asked Grandma. :D
  14. offroad bumpers are generally used for recovery rather than towing, so maybe that has something to do with it. :dunno:
  15. 35 inches is a lot of tire. backspacing, bumpstopping and trimming will all be very important.
  16. :rotf: I split it from the "club" on purpose.
  17. Leaving Friday morning for Georgia. don't expect me to be online during the day (12 hour drive). Hopefully we'll still be picking up the neighbors wi-fi once we're down there. :brows: I'll be on the road returning to Michigan next Wednesday. Hopefully in my Dakota R/T. I've got a replacement radio and replacement rear tires, so hopefully the Dak will cooperate with me and just be happy to be on the road again. then (again, hopefully) I'll be on the road on Friday, on my way to the meet-n-greet-n-drool over in Illinois to gawk at all that cool AMC stuff. Returning on Sunday. If anyone wants any Comanche Club swag, let me know and maybe I can get it in the mail next Thursday.
  18. Waah. Rob L. Boooooooo! I'm unemployed too. didn't stop me from borrowing some gas money. and you're a heck of a lot closer.
  19. A lot of things were add-ons unto themselves in addition to being included in a package or 2. This includes the limited slip diff, skid plates, and other fun stuff. It was either done to give more choice to the consumer, or to confound the heck out of us 20 years later. Maybe both.
  20. I'm sure you know this but I gotta say it anyway. :D if the hooks are there, grab the brackets that support them. You wouldn't be the first to grab the cheap hooks without the expensive brackets.
  21. rumor has it we might have hoodies and onesies (baby clothes) soon. I'll keep ya posted.
