  1. still waiting on official prices. I never said we were the most coordinated team. :D
  2. I still care a little. :(
  3. do you have a multimeter that reads amperage?
  4. yes it should. what did it come out of?
  5. is anything in here what you're looking for? http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4968
  6. My thoughts exactly. it was the first real heavy use of the brakes though. The first time any significant heat would have built up due to the stop and go traffic. :dunno:
  7. according to what I found, I think the street classes are allowed 135 without cages during the hotrod challange. Though my tires might limit me to 125.
  8. if it trurns out to be an 87, the t-case will be the np-231. welcome to the club! :waving:
  9. hmmmm.... she's limited to 114-ish, just like all modern cars. but if I find a way to bypass it, there's no way I can't exceed 120. :( Although, I've never tried from a standing start. maybe it's harder to hit 120 inside of a mile. :dunno: dang safety rules. I'll go look up the hot rod site.
  10. because my 86's exhaust is rotting away? :D That photo was taken before the muffler exploded. I've since torn out the rest of the tetanus-inducing tube.
  11. just one question... how much does that "bed" weigh? :ack:
  12. A truly awesome place. one of those "once in a lifetime" type experiences, but it happens every year. :D If I can, I'll be there again this year.
  13. Soooo... it would appear they want money just to be able to see the rules. Do you have a rule book? any idea how much work it'd be to run my stock Dakota? I know the salt flats required a rollbar, and that's just not going to happen. :(
  14. finally returned home. :waving: what a week. :ack:   going to bed now.....
  15. I babied them as best i could and never had another problem. of course, i also didn't do another 40 miles of stop-n-go traffic in 80* weather either. whatever. they got me home and that's all I asked of them :D
  16. Does anyone that's going happen to have an extra pair of stock MJ shackles in decent shape? I forgot that the 90 is still in need of shackles. :( Actually, I guess they don't need to be in decent shape. Just straight enough that I can get a stock bolt through them instead of these undersized ones (explorer U-bolts to be precise since they were handy and could be hammered in).
  17. 23 spline 35s are a lot of tire. But if you leave the front diff open and upgrade the shafts (and don't get stupid with the "fun pedal"), a Dana 30 can work.
  18. What engine was in that TJ? 21 splined output would indicate that the trans was an AX-5 and the engine the 2.5L. meaning that the trans won't work for you.
  19. found a tear in the boot of the pass side caliper. :fs1: whatever. Aside from that it reacted the same as the drivers side. guess I'll be replacing parts in the near future. assuming there's any money to do so. likely she'll just be parked again when (if) I get back from Illinois.
  20. I'm guessing curiosity, followed by indifference. :D But that all depends on if there are any dive-bombing attacks. then indifference will be replaced with nervous fear.
  21. Um, I'm guessing my rims would work the same forwards or backwards. :hmm: but that's neither here nor there since the truck used to be my DD in heavy traffic. The only change I can think of is the sitting in georgia. :dunno: I finally got one side apart. was held up by a missing 7mm allen wrench. :fs1: The piston pushed in without any remarkable resistance. I'm going to reassemble and check the other side.
  22. yes, Carly is coming with.
